I'm just gonna go along with this and pretend I know exactly what you mean.

I understood that it was a metaphor, but just ignored it and took it literally xD

But from what I know, it seems that armed forces training straightens out people. Not all people, but it's another attempt at giving them the skills and asking them to use them properly.

I'm undecided whether explaining it to a kid and then again as an adult would be beneficial. I agree though, giving an adult a gun and explaining it forces them to take the responsibility.

12 years of schooling and then 1 year of armed combat training. Or not even the combat, just make them do basic training. Of course it would need to have varying degrees for those who are weak and such, but still challenging to teach discipline.

I'll have to find out the transfer rate from credits to gold bars.

The media has to take a lot of responsibility for a lot of different problems in our society. There's too many lies and half-truths reported. I especially hate when they use scare tactics to make people conform. Even better when the information and data they use is skewed, or fabricated entirely.

But then of course we have the sheeple. They don't help the situation either.
