I ordered a copy of this classic a while ago, and for some reason the music runs really fast; like, little-time-left-fast, and even faster than that.
It isn't too bad though, because the game is still enjoyable; but I KNOW it isn't supposed to run THIS fast.
The real version is more like:
da-da, da, da-da, DA! - DA!
...but my version is like this:
dada-da-dada-DA! DA!
I hope you understand my babble. :p

Perhaps you are thinking of a different game that has a similiar soundtrack to it and is still a Super Mario Bros. game?
