Serenity needs a sequel. Although... I'm not sure how they'll manage that given that 2 main characters were killed off in that original movie. Aww, still makes me sad thinking about it. :( Great movie though.

The only movies that need sequels are the ones that make it clear there will be a sequel. It's even better when a sequel is implied in the title of the first movie. Kill Bill: Volume 1 is an excellent example of this.
well...kill bill is one story in two movies...they aren't really standalone films
also, i think i remember hearing a nasty rumour that firefly was coming back, but i don't know for sure...also i still have yet to see it or serenity....so i have to get on that :S
Pirates of the Carribean needs a fourth film. All the loose ends aren't tied up! :mad2:

Whedon's original plan was for a total of three movies if Serenity did well enough, with appearances from all of the main characters no less. It would be quite easy to do a sequel with the remaining characters anyway, but it would have been nice to see the others appear. Sadly, I doubt we'll ever see a sequel.Quote:
