Sounds like something came in contact with one of the fans, yeah.
I know this isn't helpful, but I'd just like to say that this thread made my day.

It could also be a borked CD/DVD drive. I have heard older ones make similar sounds before. :p
Hmm, nothing seems out of the ordinary so far. Fans and CD drives are still intact. I'll just hope it stops farting. :cool:

It's just happened twice, but those two times has happened the last 24 hours, so I don't know. And for all I know, it's making the noises randomly. I've just been browsing the internet both times. I haven't find anything broken yet though. :cool:

its probably just bad gas, or it could be constipated

In the past when my comp made fart like sounds, it was coming from the power supply. It's kind of annoying when you're trying to watch a movie. :p I ended up replacing it and haven't heard a thing.
