Ciddies Mid-Year 2013: VOTING CLOSED (nomination tally now up)

It’s time for democracy in action: where you, our humble members, vote for who you want to win any of these fine Ciddies. Not that I expect you to do anything remotely near a good job; democracy is what resulted in the current US Congress, after all. And boy, none of you people agreed on anything this time. There were 33 people nominated for Best Signature, and 30 for Scariest Member (which is rather appropriate for this den of creeps).

This time, the rules are easy:
1) vote for one member in each category, except for Best Member;
2) for Best Member, you may – but are not required to – rank your top two finalists, with your first-ranked being awarded 2 points and your second-ranked awarded 1 point. Rank your votes "1" and "2" accordingly (a single vote will count as a first-ranked vote); and
3) PM your votes to me, Award Pimp.

If you violate these simple rules, you will get pimp slapped.

Voting will close on Sunday, July 7, roughly one week from now. So what are you waiting for? Go vote!

I'm trying something new, and the format for the reveal has been revamped. The week of the 7th after votes closed (starting Monday evening, likely) will kick off a Ciddies week, where various other stats and mini-awards are given out, and certain awards will be revealed throughout the week. The big Ciddies revelation day with the majority of the awards will come the following weekend, probably Sunday, July 14 (though it may be moved back a day if I end up having to work Monday morning).

This is even better than the Olympics! Ciddies week makes it seem like a huge event. I can't wait!

It's always the quiet, uncertain ones that turn out to be masters in the sack.

Prostitutes are usually all about business, and they usually don't care about how they perform. Although, when I visited a g-sauna some months ago, I was taught how to show emotion, but I don't think that really counts, though. Anyway, they block out, and usually just perform. That being said, the art of selling, shouldn't really be undermined as it takes A LOT of practice, dedication and hard work to achieve status in a highly competitive environment.

I'm open to suggestions for avatars, but I don't really see the point of signatures at all. As for custom ranks, I asked about that once and I was told you need to be here for seven or eight months before you can get one.

Most Ciddies ceremonies do happen all in one go, but Raist wanted to try something different.

Less than 10 hours left to vote! And we have reached 50 voters, with hopefully more coming in today.

I still need to tally some of the latest votes, but your vote still counts, as there are a bunch of close races. Best Member has six people within 5 points of each other, and a number of categories are either tied or very close. There's really only a few awards where the leaders are probably out of reach at this point, so every vote matters!

EDIT: Oh, and yes, I am trying something a bit different this year by extending the revelations and festivities, just to see how it goes. My changes may be completely undone for the next Ciddies, but this should at least be useful feedback for future hosts. :p
