Actually making some connection to people online, not bad.
i ate a lot of cookie dough this morning with my coffee. which i'm sure was a weird combination, but nevertheless it made me happy. and i get to go visit my friend later tonight, so that will be good.
Cookie Dough, haha I forgot that stuff even exists. You know what I had with my coffee this morning, fruits and Cheerios. LOL and it wasn't the morning, it was more like the afternoon.
Only one school day this week yaay
There are no less than four cute hilarious slice of life anime this season and it is paradise
I'm going to be on countryfile lmao
We have an up and coming chef as a client and she runs cooking classes. I really wanted to go to her Tapas and Paella night and was actually going to book when I got paid. Anywaaaay, so today she sends an email asking for volunteers to help her out so naturally I wanted to jump on the tapas night! Turns out either Countryfile or Coast to Coast will be filming her at that one and so there's a chance I'll be there in the segment too, cooking! :) Pretty neat!
The weather here has warmed up a bit. It feels like an early spring day out there! It feels wonderful after all that snow and ice.
Our new house is even better than I thought it was.
MY PACKAGE JUST ARRIVED!!!
I just need to get home now and Dragon Quest VIII, here I come! :D
See now you're tempting fate into having you die and end up in Hell without realising it. That is, until you finally play your long awaited game and every single song on it has been replaced by the FFX battle music. Oh, and you better believe that mute button is broken.
Damn, Psy.
Who hurt you?
Making the first Sunday roast in the new house. :)
My sister offered to lend me her extra TV and her Xbox One so I can play XV! I'm so grateful and excited!
My ears stopped ringing, I couldn't understand a word of what the lead singer was saying. He was just yelling non sense. So I started to head bang, that was about it.
Not today but it would have been "today" on the day that it happened. As it is, it is no longer accurate to say "today." Imma tell you all anyway.
I have never had a complete play through of FFVII due to the fact that I have never scored 5000 points at Speed Square on disc 1 in order to get Aeris' Umbrella. On this certain day (that was not today... but was today at the time) I finally did it! 5100 points!
Aeris is currently near Wutai bonking enemies on the head with a purple umbrella and I couldn't be happier :D
Just be prepared to spend the other half of your playtime in the Great Glacier
Stay warm :D
Sims 4 vampire Game pack comes out today! They have a vampire talent tree on it! That's a new thing for me with the sims, i'm very excited to use all their vampire powers :3 I'ma woohoo as a bat in a coffin
Taxes done. Love being done with that trout in January.
Bill Burr. Bill Burr made me happy today.
I am enjoying my classes overall. My teachers are nice, which is good and I did get prime seat in each classroom.
Also today I had an interpersonal communications quiz and I got all 5 questions right. Then she gave us a bonus point for every benefit of self-disclosure we could list from the textbook and I got 5 so that's an extra 5 bonus points. I was a bit disappointed I didn't get all 7 or so but 5 is still very good and it's a positive thing that I did well on my quiz.
ALSO in that class, my group won bonus points on our next test for a group activity~
Case management is fraking hard though.
Homework be like,
"Jane is a single mother in a wheelchair with 4 kids and no job who can't get subsidized housing because of her prison record and she also has AIDS somehow and one of her kids has a collapsed lung and she's also being evicted tomorrow. Find 10 strengths!
Me: :stare:
- She has a wheelchair. I mean, if she needed one but didn't have one it'd suck.
- She has kids!
- The kids don't have AIDS
- She has a terminal illness but she's still alive.
- The kid with a collapsed lung has one perfectly good lung
- She got released from the prison system and wasn't left to rot forever
- She's been able to raise four kids despite being a disabled ex convict, that's dedication.
- She has a roof over her head tonight at least
- You know what, having no job isn't a bad thing for her. She can watch her kids grow up. For a time...
- I don't know if the US is like this but a disabled ex-con with four kids would basically be a dream ticket for me when the bailiff comes to evict her. You could easily get her out of it and have them let her stay in the property! It's when it's a single middle aged man who hasn't worked in years that you have to pull an absolute rabbit out of a hat to get him out of it, and of course those are the ones that are more common.
Not being able to get subsidised housing because of prison, though? Is that a thing in the US? smurfing wow.
I wrote another exam and actually had some good progress tonight for the next exam. No on to a break and then continue.
(Urgh)
Just saw two Spanish guys enter a tapas bar. In Poznań.
It's as if I went to France to eat pierogi. What.
Interpersonal communications class continues to go well:

(I did goods at the bonus questions)
My view at work today.
More good news! (I could use it after my crap day yesterday)
I got on the honour roll with distinction and am invited to a ~special luncheon~
ALSO I was given a good resource in my crisis intervention class that allows me to get free texts and academic journals and textbooks and whatnot in a variety of fields INCLUDING substance abuse counseling. So I have four handy books coming my way and it didn't cost me a penny!
My brother sent me these pics of him with our cat. You can tell he's loving the attention
http://i1145.photobucket.com/albums/...k/IMG_6321.jpg
http://i1145.photobucket.com/albums/...k/IMG_6322.jpg
And yes, if I ever told you about my cats, this is the psycho one.
Also, gotta love how this bookstore categorzied The Witcher
http://i1145.photobucket.com/albums/...k/IMG_6323.jpg
I feasted upon an above average baked potato
Bought a pair of pants that make my butt look good! :3:
On sale!
I found a dollar in quarters in a vending machine I bought a Diet Pepsi with it! :)
Got a lot of chores, work, and socializing done. Finished some more of my gaming backlog.
Today was a good day.
Got told at work today that I look like Ben Whishaw. I'll take that, thanks. :)
I made the honour roll and the president's list for college, yaaay!
An old friend and coworker from when I worked at gamestop hit me up randomly! Gave me an alpha key to that game Fortnite by Epic games! Yay friends!
My neighbour came round and gave us a 37-inch HD TV. What a ledge!
I've got a new job in a service I've always wanted to work in!
I'll be working at a public library as a customer services assistant. I eventually want to be a Librarian/Archivist so this is great job to get me started!
On the way home from work passing the British Military Base we got stopped bye a flagger person on the road, and got a first hand view of 11 tanks rolling across the road. That was cool to see.
My sister is letting me use her bass guitar! I'm excited because I've always wanted to learn a musical instrument. Bass wasn't actually my first choice, but it's a start! :)
Days without a date: 0
(Down from 4300 yesterday aka about 12 years)
So wait, you were... how old when you last went on a date? Ten? Twelve? That's really early! :O
I ALWAYS THOUGHT YOU WERE YOUNGER THAN ME WHAT
Nobody's younger than you, Fynn. Apart from Formalhaut, he's like 8 or something.
And Pumpkin, and Jinx, and a ton of other people, ya dingus! I'm turning 27 this year! :stare:
Oh, I thought you were like 17.
And married. That's still not exactly legal here.
Still, not as weird as finding out Ayen was older than me!
Oh, I just assumed your wife was one of those anime waifu body pillows with Tidus on it. I further assumed you wept into it as you tenderly reassured him that you'd never let anyone pronounce his name "Tie-dus" again.
You're a sad, sad cloud, Paul
Quite the opposite dear fellow, for the thought of you squeezing your beloved Teedus makes me feel nothing but glee.
I mean, whatever floats your goat, man
Now listen here you little trout
That's exactly what an 8 year old who is pretending to be a 21 year old who becomes 22 on February the 18th would say. :holmes:
So you're saying you're basically 8 and a half
Most people tell me I'm a 3, so I'll take it.
Are you getting a pony
Wait
You're an Aquarius?!
I wasn't aware this has turned into an impromptu Eyes on You session! :p
Yes, I'm an Aquarius. Something my mother puts way too much stock in, but whatever. I even have a mug with my star sign on it as a birthday gift from her. I mean, I find the zodiac an interesting concept, but she genuinely believes in astrology.
Imma be 25 soon!
Send cake
I think you're undeniable proof that the zodiac is bulltrout then :p
Oh also on topic
My history teacher told me I am one of his best students
I was all like, yeah I know it
(I was actually just very thankful)
Yeah. I also much the personality of a Leo much more than I do Cancer, so there you go :monster:
I know what you mean. My personality is nothing like an old rusted tug boat but is instead much more similar to that of a floral print parasol. What a weird world we live in.
You're cute :flirt:
:stare: Y'all need help.
Anyway.
Got a nice trip to London all planned in the coming months. Kingdom Hearts concert, the Harry Potter studio tour (I am just missing out on the Forbidden Forest sob), and a bit of time spent with my favourite person! And time to spare, so I mean if anyone's in the London area...
My son wasn't feeling well so he slept our bed last night. I woke up to find his head sleeping soundly next to mine.
Got some fancy new headphones and I'm lovin' the way music sounds now.
(also, i'm listening to the starcraft ost, because i'm a loser)
Nothing can ever make me happy. I'm a sick pile of crap who needs to die. I just want someone to kill me.
This is for you and anybody else going through a bad time. I know they're cheesy as hell but it doesn't mean they're not true. Feel better soon, fella.
Things that made me happy today... Got a Skyrim mod downloaded that adds Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Come on Hufflepuff!
My date is all set for next Friday! We're getting lunch in the city.
I mean it's just lunch but after such a long time I feel like... like... someone who was able to come up with a really good simile.
Also had forgotten how nervewracking this could all be. I'm just a big teenager at this point ^^;
Best of luck on the date Fox, let us know how it goes! Remeber to be yourself, and be sure to ask her lots of questions. Girls like it when you listen.
Don't worry Fox, I'm sure you'll charm the pants off of her or him.
Maybe not literally... but maybe. I dunno, that's between you two :D
Do you wanna find out :jess:
No wait
Just give me the venue Fox and I'll be there. We can do a wacky sitcom routine where I pretend to be the manager and say you're one of our most valued customers and come here all the time and are so wonderful so here's a free bucket of prosecco.
No, this is a myth. First dates tend to go better when you're constantly talking, telling them all about yourself. If she tries to talk about her, just cut her off and mention something really impressive that you've done in your life.
Also, suggest to her that you record the entire date for posterity. Just say it will be great to watch it back with your kids when they're older. Girls love this.
Trust me, I've been on countless first dates. Not too many second dates though...
Unfortunately she suggested we decide on the day! I can provide a list of possibilities but you're gonna have your work cut out to come up with a wacky scenario in all of them!
I'm also told that it makes them happy if you suggest ways they could alter their appearance to become cute. It shows that you're paying attention to details.Quote:

trout I just realised I have actually legit taken a girl I met on this very website on a date to that exact Burger King. Bloody hell.
...It was her idea and request, in my defence.
Wow
Yeah, where the bloody hell were you that day mate? Don't give me the "It was 2008 and I'd never even heard of EoFF or you and your crazy hair brained schemes please leave me alone" speech either. :colbert:
I have also eaten at that Burger King on one of my special days in the Big City. I thought I could smell something tbh
Under what logic? I feel like the date should order whatever they want. :p
Honestly though, good luck Fox! I have only ever gone on dates with Mr. Carny, and you can barely call them dates because of a hilarious set of circumstances that basically meant we were going out before our first date.
Honestly, I don't have any real advice here. I know if I was going on a date with someone, I'd find it rude if the other person only ever talked about themselves, but that's just me; others might be different. Find some common ground and shared interests. That's always a good start.
My new job is going really good! I was invited out for drinks with all the guys from the shop for tonight, and I fit in with them all really well.
Desining/creating an e-magazine at the moment for a personal/eoff project which is nice to do! It's not work work stuff so it's quite cool to be doing something for *me* today
Won a culture victory on Emperor in Civ V today with a civilization I never use. Also, might get to hang with a friend this week so that's good.
Got a letter in the mail from my investment firm I use and the $500 I put into a stock rose up to $10,000 today! May be time to sell!
Went on a date.
Was a good date. We're going out again at some point (details TBD)
Awesome, Fox!
I finished work early on a Friday!!!
My head feels better.
We finally got decent internet at work on monday! Woo! When it took me ages to load a page to loading fairly quickly, heck yes i'm happy.
i'm going to college to get less dumb!
... i mean, smarter.
I have a big group thing for my interpersonal communication class and the group assignments went about as well as it could have!
I also I got a 92/83 for my first test in that class, bringing my average up to 117!
Got our second date lined up for next weekend. Some kinda lunch plus some kinda movie (which I expect will be LEGO Batman).
Also feel like I got a good deal by signing up for Humble Monthly and immediately cancelling in order to get Total War: Warhammer for £9. I know that's a kinda jerk consumer move but... I can live with it ^^
Me and Formy are going to Hampshire Pride today! :excited: It will always have a special place in my heart, because Formy (and me, a very little bit) helped organise the very first Hampshire Pride back in 2015.
I beat Skyward Sword last night! I took a bit of a hiatus before the final boss, but I finally beat it!
The Rewrite anime has finally done it. It's finally made an episode that truly wowed me.
First shift at the new job went pretty well. I think I'll like it here.
Where are you starting work at, Scruff?
Oh cool!
I won a raffle at Hampshire Pride over the weekend! I never win raffles! What's going on!
I mean look at it. CHOCOLATE. :omgomg:

Today.
I have learned that I am a radio.
http://s.hswstatic.com/gif/radio-image-7.jpg
There are worse things to become, I suppose.
Out in the field working today.

I have such awesome and generous siblings. I'm so grateful for them. :D
Got a haircut today! My head feels so liberated!
I always put it off, to be honest. I always find trying to start barbershop conversation an awkward feat, especially when the barber isn't open to idle chatter.
Snow is almost gone.
So Christie Golden, Author of many Starcraft, Warcraft, Assassin's Creed, Star Wars, Star Trek, and even the Buffy Universe novels commented on a random facebook post of mine about short haired thor last night.
I fangirled out.

Nier 2 Automata has finally come home.
Saw the new Cyberdimension Neptunia trailer. Looks like fun, and does not seem to be only an MMO which I assumed it was from the title. So I'll look forward to getting that.
Also it has re-sparked my interest in finishing my Hyperdimension LP. I mean it never technically stopped it's just on hiatus as I play Berseria, but that's taking so long maybe I could sneak a few Nep-Nep sessions in there.
I made the decision through the week that I'd like to start setting up my own business as a bit of a side gig until I can gain some traction and build it up.
I'm..... currently in negotiations with my first 'client'. This is pretty epic guys.
It's finally my weekend after working six days in a row :)
Abut put in his two weeks notice at work. Though I am sad to see him go because he really is a good guy, he was ahead of me in seniority so I was doing the work he didn't want to do, just picking up his scraps type deal. Now I will be able to pick and choose a little bit more as I move up to that spot.
Edit so I don't double post...
Just saw FF XV on sale digitally. Bought it. It's downloading!
Enjoy!
I will. I purposely stayed out of anything XV related just so I go in fresh with no expectations. Now with all this new work finding time to play it...
After over a month, we finally did it
http://i1145.photobucket.com/albums/...k/IMG_6523.jpg
1500 pieces. At first we thought "only 1500? That's gonna be way too easy!" We were wrong. So wrong.
It's really hard to express how something as simple as a jigsaw puzzle can be so incredibly satisfying.
Damn, that looks like a lot of very similar colours. That castle seems like an absolute pain to construct.
Dang dude. I miss doing puzzles. They're so much fun.
I'm getting better at my job. Was able to help a lot more customers today compared to before. I actually really enjoy what I do, and I don't feel miserable coming home every day now. Refreshing to be able to say that. :P
Went on a date last night with a good looking girl. Got a goodnight kiss, and we are meeting for ice cream latter tonight!
Helping my sister and her family move into their new apartment! It feels good helping family enter a new chapter in their lives.
I MADE A SHIRT

no bleeding! It worked!

I'm so proud of myself :smug:
I am able to wear my capris for the first time this year! It's beginning to look a lot like summer. :)
My best friends younger brother has his kidneys failing. They are working at 6%. After being on a waiting list for a new kidney for 2 years he got a call that one is now available for him. All of us have pitched in money and in 3 hours we raised $4000 that not only got him to the hospital on time for his surgery, but his mom too and we got them an apartment in Vancouver for 3 months right beside the hospital with some money left to live off of and more money is coming in for them! He needs this kidney to live and we are all thrilled for him!
I got recommended to the honours program again!
It's a shame all the classes I could take honours courses in I have pretty much already completed, but it's still very nice that I was recommended!
Lots of people on Facebook said nice things about my acoustic version of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme.
It's just been a pretty pleasant day. Updated the writing blog, Mr. Carny came from visiting his grandmother, all is well.
Came home from a super lovely vacation. Vienna is one of the most beautiful cities in the world with some absolutely ridiculous buildings and palaces, the food there is great, it's really easy to get around and everyone is friendly. Would definitely recommend!
Nice guess, but it was for a significant birthday I may or may not be having tomorrow.
Wow, you got a trip to Venice just for stepping ever closer into the Reaper's icy, waiting grip? Who from, the Queen?
Vienna, not Venice. Not to be a pedant, but we wouldn't want you to offend both of your partners in the Triple Alliance.
Also, I suppose, in as much as it was paid for by what little funds I have which have not been claimed by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs.
Watching the first episode of Dear White People. Avatar/Sig set change incoming.
I finally watched Kingsglaive last night! It was gooood.
There is a British Military base close to my house and my roommate played pool with a soldier who is a tank gunner from Leeds. He brought him over to the house for drinks and we hit it off too. He is stationed here for another year, so this summer he is going to teach me Footy, and I am going to teach him how to play Lacrosse.
That is if Trump doesn't start crap and force him half way around the world.
So I got this come in through the post today and I was super happy!
Attachment 72033
Was not expecting such a big deal, got to be honest. I even get a fancy pin badge!
It's almost my birthday! No matter how old I get, I always get excited for my birthday. :)
I just had $10,800 put into my account today. Old job finally is paying me the money they stiffed me 2 years latter. Still owe me a lot more. If they are finally paying up which has been owing for 3 years now it is going to be great!
I made bandanas for my doggos. Look at how cute they are

Launched my mini business on Facebook today and finished the planning of an international event for my work.
The results for an art contest I entered are going to be announced soon! I'm so excited! And nervous! :excited:
This was just brought to my attention.
My two-year-old niece was outside throwing dirt clumps while yelling "Hadouken!"
I'm gonna be an aunt on BFs side! (I say that as BF and I are basically married so it's basically my BIL and SIL) YAY BABIES!
The sky was so blue and the sun was so bright when I got up this morning. It was gorgeous and it made me so happy!
Yeah, it's been gorgeous here too. :)
I've had a really good satisfying day. I've had the day off work and I spent a lot of it outside doing some gardening. Then I came back in drenched in swearing and tired but happy, and a shower perked me back up. I don't normally have cold showers but I was so hot that I wanted to try it and it was great!
Then as you all may have seen in another thread I finished my game which was very satisfying! Not only that but I also felt a sense of accomplishment from being my own secret bosses which is kind of sad but hey ho.
Currently chilling with my cats and my feet in a bowl of refreshing cold water on my balcony, about to make myself a prawn stir fry. Life is pretty sweet.
Oh, and my new router came in preparation for finally getting fibre optic broadband switched over tomorrow. I will actually be able to download games without leaving my PC or PS4 on overnight!
This is the first week since the feature was implemented that I've ever been in the top posters or top thread makers lists, and right now I'm in both :)
Some of the newer users won't know her, but the user Christmas stopped by to pay us a visit. She's one of the friendliest, most amusing and endearing people I've gotten to know on this forum. Made me happy to hear from her again
Found $100 steam gift card when I took my niece and nephew to the park. It was still good and I am on a spending spree. Still have $60 left. May buy all the FF.
Went for a Harley ride with my dad today. We rode out and got some dinner. It was a good time.
I might have convinced my girlfriend to sign up for EoFF today, also she wants to try mafia.
My girlfriend has finally moved over here from LA. She's been living with me for almost two weeks now, this is just the first time I've had the patience and forethought to make a comment about it.
It did make me happy today too. And yesterday. And it will again tomorrow.
My girlfriend just unwittingly gave me permission to build a death ray
*Edit* Whoops, never mind. She said to stick to a project with easily obtainable parts, but the preview of the text cut off the part where she also says to avoid attention from the government :(
I saw "her" today. Not the movie, an actual person. At the same time it bummed me out, though. Regardless, it's always nice.
Oh, and FFV Advance came in the mail today. Hopefully I won't have issues with it.
My sister and I have this amazing meme ping pong tagging going on and they're all just 11/10 roasts of our mum hahahaha
Doing swimming pool renovations (new liner, new concrete around it, convert to salt-water system), and just found someone who can do it all for $9,000 less than what a few companies gave me estimations at. Going through a friend who does that kind of work with his family, so was very relieved to hear this good news today.
Man, can't believe this thread fell off page one.
When the files for the Switch were first dumped a couple months ago, there were a couple oddities found. An NES emulator tied to a file named "flog".
Fast forward to the past week, and a hacker found that the file was actually the NES game "Golf" ("flog" is "golf" backwards). No idea why it was included on the system, or how it was unlocked. But the game did seem to have some connection to JoyCons and motion controls. An NES game retrofitted to have motion controls? A proof of concept, perhaps?
Now it turns out that apparently the game is unlocked on July 11th of any year. By taking two JoyCons and performing Iwata's signature "Directly to you" motion. You know it worked when you hear his voice say "success".
July 11th, 2015 was when game development legend Satoru Iwata passed away. The NES game Golf was one that he had programmed himself. Like an Omamori, the charms left at Japanese shrines for guidance and protection, this game was included as a memento for Iwata. To have his code looking over every Switch and guiding it.
If a Switch has ever been synced to the internet, it will remember the actual date, even if you change its display date. So it will be nearly a year before those of us with the system can test this ourselves. And, as that date has already passed us by since the Switch was launched, this is a tribute that Nintendo may never have revealed. Just a quiet, humble tribute to a man who meant so much to gaming.
The feels, man...
Coming home from work to have the sun still out so I could sit outside and enjoy it always makes for a happy day. Today was such a day. It doesn't have its full warmth anymore, but I'll take all that I can get. Winter is coming. :cat:
Seeing Leeza online for the first time in a while made me happy today :cat:
Today is the last day of my detox week and I can finally eat bread from tomorrow. I've never looked forward to morning tea & toast so much in my life.
Also, me and MissH have date night tomorrow. Italian meal followed by the new Kingsman film at the cinema :D
Mine and Mr. Carny's four year anniversary today!
I'm down to 199 lbs! The sub-200 club
This is something that "gave me hope" more than it made me happy (even though I was happy to see it).
I am a fan of the YouTube Rewind videos, but I hate how people complain if they don't know enough people - I get that they want to see their favorite YouTubers, but I don't get why they have to focus on the people they don't know, and use it as a complaint. I always reply to these people that they should check out the people they don't know, as they might find a new favorite YouTuber (most of the YouTubers I know, I was introduced to via YouTube Rewind), but I don't know if it ever sinks in, because people keep moaning about them showing YouTubers that "nobody" knows (meaning, YouTubers that they don't know), but tonight I got a response from someone saying that they were going to check out the people that they didn't know. This gives me hope, because I hate the "don't know them, won't bother to know them" mentality, so it was nice to see someone willing to actually broaden their list of YouTubers.
The guy from the magazine I was writing and translating for finally paid me! AFTER NINE SMURFING MONTHS!!!
FINALLY!!!!
It really SUCKS that it's so late, but then again, it was quite a lot of money and having it show up on my account right now instead of back then is actually helpful at this point!
Pennywise is back in Germany after 27 years. Just finished watching the miniseries-movie again - which I also did not watch for like 15 years or so. I remember about 20 years ago as a little child I watched the movie so often. It traumatized me so much that I needed 2 decades to be cured from ... IT. And now the last days the time had come.
And tomorrow I will be watching the new one. Today Currywise, tomorrow Skarywise.
The irony of overcoming the fear for this movie ...
Yankees beat the Indians in five!
Down 0-2 against the best team in baseball and everyone had written us off. See y'all in Houston on Friday!
After months of having computer issues with my Toshiba Satellite, I've now fixed it. (I think!)
I can connect to the internet again without having to be on DSL, and I've finally managed to scrub smurfing Norton Anti-Virus off the thing which was clogging the disk usage!
Hoorah!
My family have come home from their trip. My soon to be wife, my son, and my soon to be step daughter. Very happy right now!
