Explosions In The Sky is great when you're just getting into post-rock, but once you get well-versed in the genre you notice EITS is nothing more a giant post-rock stereotype. They don't do anything new, but they show you everything the genre is generally about.

Also, a lot of people LOVE Sigur Rós. I personally don't. However, you might. I'd say they're liked Radiohead if they were a post-rock band (they're overrated enough to be their counterpart, anyway :p). Ágćtis byrjun and ( ) are their most acclaimed albums, and I agree they're their best.
