Oh, right. Buy a NTSC-J DVD player and some anime DVD's

You should buy your way on to a Japanese game show and embarrass yourself with the ridiculous things they make you do.
I'm not really a big anime person, so I'll probably pass on that. And the game show? Only if I can win some money :D
I bought a DSi LL.
...that's it?
Pretty anti-climactic.
Good news is I got a job there, and won't have to worry about picking stuff up only when visiting. I can just buy it whenever.
I'm actually really interested in what you'll be doing there. I refrained from asking 'why are you going to Japan' earlier. Teaching in Japan is something I'm strongly considering myself. The biggest requirement for the 'service' I was looking at requires a Bachelor's degree, and I should have that by the end of next year.
You think you can keep a blog or something while you're there? Or even in general? I'd be interested in reading it no matter how mundane it is.
I did the English teaching thing for 3 years from 2005-2008, this time around I actually got a job with a real company. I'll be doing recruiting for a company that helps find employees for international companies that are looking to set up in Japan. Should be hard work, but interesting. I can let you look at my old blogs from the time I was in Japan though if you want.
