no my point was that if there was a bomb next thursday (or the thursday after to make it a two week cycle). then we would get into a situation of fear on a set day of the week.

Oh I see well Id agree there would be people who would avoid going out on those days but majority people would still think "It probably wont be me".Quote:

I'm told rebel insurgents in Baghdad and Afghanistan have taken to filling old, corroded bomb shells with shards of glass and metal-effective shrapnel bombs, with animal dung thrown in to poison the wounds.
Just be thankful the perpetrators haven't employed the same methods on British soil.
There is only 1 injury as far as I've heard, and no deaths.
I think they are trying to prove a point, something like 'We can still cause damage if we want to'. Although they failed to cause damage, because of the bombs. They could of. Nobody stopped them from putting the bombs there in the first place. We were lucky, but obviously they are going to be quite pissed that it didn't go according to plan. :(
chances are they were either totally un-related and had no idea how to build an effective bomb.
or this was the second phase. but acetone peroxide detoriates and so if this was the same batch like from the bath they found in leeds it would be rendered useless by now and give the effects shown today.
Whoever did it was probably mad more damage hadn't been done the first time, I can't believe anyone could that again, after all those people died and all those families and friends lost important people, it's awful. I hope this was just a scare tactic and not a preview of more things to come :(
