Damn you, damn your bracket design, and damn your clothing line. :mad: Forget the cosplayers; neither one is on par with the source material (although the KOS-MOS girl at least has the facial features to do a decent approximation), and neither it nor Ultima Shadow's images showcase what is, in my eyes, her ultimate outfit. The Xenosaga I design is certainly high-quality in its way, but the final Xenosaga III design is far too blatant a "bunny" reference for me. :roll2 On that note, in Ultima Shadow's third KOS-MOS image, what is with the extra flesh? Is that supposed to be her derrière? :laugh: Sheena is the unexpected divinity of the tournament, as I see it (paralleled by Rydia in this way; that is another choice to be made *_*), but . . . velvety with a steel edge though her design makes her, Sheena cannot stand with KOS-MOS in terms of hair, or complexity and dynamism of appearance overall.
In the end, who could I see most congruously standing at my side, as both complement and independent converse to my own presence? Get a nice wind going, my open trenchcoat and KOS-MOS' hair? Beautiful. :cool: KOS-MOS.

1. Lulu. Actually saw a cosplayer of at least equal charm at a Video Games Live concert earlier this year (go live Chrono suite, and "One Winged Angel" finale! :frust:). Irrelevant to my actual vote, but perhaps noteworthy nonetheless. In general, Lulu is the far more distinctive woman as far as aesthetics go; her outfit basically eliminates any possibility of agile movement, making her an altogether different woman to handle than virtually any contender in the tournament. This is a lady with power enough at her fingertips to have the enemy falling ruined about her feet, with minimal movement between point A and B. Uniqueness counts, and again, Mitsuru's design is a void of said substance.

Rydia of Mist - Once again, I can't understand Sheena's appeal. She kinda looks like a generic ninja chick from some anime. Rydia has mystery and intrigue with her design. There is just so much you can say about her design and her Amano style beauty. Sheena is easy on the eyes but Rydia is art.

Mitsuru Kirijo - Once again, we have the generic design of Tears up against someone who should beat her. Tears is boring but looking at all the costumes and designs for Mitsuru you get a better understanding of her personality and beautiful finesse. Mitsuru has that Sexy and sophisticated look in in her face and especially her eyes. They invite you in but you're not quite sure what to expect. ;)

Yea it was a fun tournament. We need more participation though. But next time get better pictures for Alkaid. :p She should have easily made it past Round 1.

As for improvements in the tournament, I would definitely have liked some sort of official discussion basis (i.e. people would be required to justify their choices, and if not with the intention to "change minds", an opportunity would at least exist for individuals' choices to be "better understood"). I realize that the subject matter has a certain inherent potential for vulgarity to it, but I figure most of the membership involved is mature enough to be capable of more than copy-pasting a name and using "boobs" as their reasoning. :roll2 After all, by the end of this tournament, we will have made a conclusion (who is "the hottest babe"?), but, even if this is a completely non-serious discussion, if there is no generally-understood reason for it, what, really has been decided? :\ In any case, it was an amusing diversion, Agent Proto. ^_^ You were certainly diligent on your end of things.
Well, the only big issue (aside from KOS-MOS not making it to the final) was the fact that some of the pics provided in the early brackets were pretty bad. I know it might just have been hard to find decent pics of some characters, but... well, I guess you could make it a rule to "post a decent picture" of each babe you nominate in the nomination thread, or something. =PQuote:

Feh. This is exactly why I wanted nothing to do with this competition (besides the fact that admitting to finding video game girls attractive, or any girl for that matter, clashes with my bitter, serious reputation).
Eh... Maybe I should explain myself first as to why I abhor Rydia in the first place.
Before being exposed to, erm, "Rydia praise", I always found her to be an okay character (though she was quite annoying and bad mouthed as a child, especially towards Edward). I didn't really think of her as "that protagonist female that's insanely attractive", since I knew that was Rosa's job, seeing how Cecil, Kain, and Edge (though Edge preferred Rydia more) found Rosa attractive while Edge was the only one that liked Rydia. After seeing the insane amount of praise that Rydia had and fanart that insanely exaggerated her beauty, it got me really annoyed since people were liking her for what they made her out to be than what she actually was. As if that wasn't enough, a lot of Rydia fans would hate on Rosa, even going to the point of saying that Cecil should've ended up Rydia (which would really mess up FFIV's story, especially considering how Cecil knew Rosa much longer than Rydia). Facing that kind of stuff online everywhere I went, I eventually stopped "finding her okay". Yeah, I know that there're people out there who like both Rydia and Rosa, but that doesn't stop the insane amount of Rydia praise from getting on my nerves.
...though I guess her winning is partly my fault. Even if I am just one person with an opinion that goes against everyone elses, that didn't stop me from killing Rydia and getting my favourite character to win in the FFIV Elimination thread. I guess the very least I could do next time is nominate a few video game girls, even if it's someone like Queen Brahne.
