Nyuk nyuk nyuk.
By the way, I wouldn't be adverse to trading Morgan Ensberg, either. It looks like he's a good third baseman here to stay.
I'm interested in trading infielders or relievers, perhaps.
Hit up Romeo with Ensberg, Fres. He needs 3B.
yea, I bet you could get Hafner off him. I recommend that, actually.
Is that saying the Indians are starting to hit?
it's saying Hafner sucks so I hope you trade for him :D
Well, my team has survived my vacation, and in first place! That's good news, a big victory considering the implosions of the last two summer vacations I took...
Tomorrow's important. If Prior, Bonderman, Smoltz and Burnett have great games, that could be huge in the long run.
In related news, I need to trade a start or two. Package deals for a big hitter welcome!
Looks like Carpenter was the best trade of the season so far, with a close second being Chad Cordero. Impressive, fellas. When is the deadline?
Your team was suffering mightily, Fres, but it looks like you're set to give me another good run.
Also, Clee needs to stop getting RBIs so that Dlee can win the triple crown. And Ajones with the homers too, while they're at it.
I'll be sure to let Ajones know.
Cordero has been beyond awesome.
Halfway to victory!
Everything is going according to plan. Soon I will have to decide between Nomar and Crosby, not a bad place to be in. Also Schilling will be back in some capacity. I guess I could use some extra saves for a while.
Captain seems to be charging headfirst toward the top. I'm drafting behind him.
I'm just waiting for Morneau and Beltran to come around. Once they do, I think I'll be tough to take down.
It's good that you guys still think you can win, otherwise it is less fun when I eventually do.
you talk big up until the end. We wouldn't have it any other way.
When you get 6 trophies you can talk big too.
we'll see how many trophies you have after we institute the salary cap!
and at least I have one.
Don't say the s-word, we don't want this season end in a strike. Unless Fresno is about to win, of course.
looks like we have the same result as last year. man, losing Halladay really hurt me.
My team made a charge right around midseason, but Helton slumping and Ichiro having an off year for him really put me in the hole and it took too long for some of my other players to get on track. Still, it was a very fun season and the real baseball races are more intense than ever which makes for a lot of fun.
Take care all.
Don't worry, with some improvements and luck, you'll have a good shot at second next year.
Stupid @$%(*@#%$ing Carlos Beltran.
despite coming in third again, I've enjoyed watching my batting average finally climb to respectability in the last month.
I appreciate the fact my hitters aren't quitting on me. Sheffield's homer, Durham's two stolen bases, David Wright with a few RBIs...
Still, this is vastly disappointing.
I hope everyone had fun, and congrats to the winner.
Wait 'til next year!
