I knew tonight's episode would be entirely focused on the wall once I saw the opening credits and there were only 5 actors in the cast before the names of the crew started rolling. I love that about this show. The opening credits are specifically relevant to every episode.
I couldn't believe I was actually cheering for Alliser this episode. Up until this point he's just been a trout head. But that's the beauty of Game of Thrones I suppose is being able to see that there are sides to everyone that you'll like and dislike.
I had the same thought as you Psy, that kid shot Ygritte and he was like :smug:
I thought for sure that Sam was going to bite the dust in this episode. I heard the bell toll when he said "I promise I'm not going to die". That's usually a bad sign for this show.
I wonder what will happen to that guy that was hiding with Gilly? I imagine there's gotta be some sort of punishment for cowards in the Night's Watch.
