AMD Athlon 64 3200
6600 GT Nvidea 256 mb
1 gig corsair ram
Aspire case
Me an Azar have almost the same laptop =O mines an HP Pavilion zv 6000
Intel Pentium 4, 3.0 Ghz, 1Gb DDR400 RAM, 80Gb Seagate Hard Drive, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro Graphics card.
Wow, some of you are lucky. I'm stuck with a 1.3ghz PC with 256mb RAM and a Geforce 2 GFX card. Sucks... If only I had a job, then I'd have a computer with sufficient power to handle the heavy tasks that I would be doing. Whereas most of you have a MEGA computer for just running FFXI and using MSN Messenger. ;)
I photoshop with my computers. So yeah. I could use a bit more RAM though :(
Photoshop doesn't require much memory/RAM. ;) It really depends on how heavy the documents are that you're creating. Either way, it would run on most computers, low-end too. I'd need a fast computer for:
- Playing modern games, including Half-Life 2, or Oblivion.
- Using Vue 5 Infinite.
- Editing high-poly models with little or no lag and rendering, in 3ds max.
-And yes, other stuff, including Photoshop.
:)
I do work with huge documents :p.
Do you work with a 70mb A4 PSD? :D Now THAT can cause scratch disk problems in Photoshop.
AMD Athlon 3200+ 2.2 ghz
512 DDR
80 gigs hardware space
128 Radeon 9600 pro club edition
8x dvd-rw
2.4 Ghz Celeron Laptop
30Gig HD split between Linux and XP
One day I'll have a nice comp like Cid...
I'm having a friend of mine trying to assemble a better computer for me from discarded pieces. Wish him luck because there have been some donors already.
2.6 GHz P4
512 MB RAM
60 GB HD
GeForce MX 440
SB Audigy 2
etc.
Running Gentoo. I have no real need of anything faster. I'll likely upgrade once I get some spare money though, I could use more hard drive space. It makes me sad that people "need" a GB of RAM nowadays. Throwing money at your computer until your OS stops sucking. Fun times.
Mac Mini 1.25 GHz PPC G4
512MB RAM
40 GB HD
etc.
Running Tiger. Slow as a dog, but it's only a file / media organizer and SSH server. And it runs Photoshop and some nice Mac-only apps from time to time.
If you look at my album pic of me with red hair my comp is in the background
P4 2.8 533 Mhz FSB (yuck -- it should've been a 800 FSB but w/e)
1.5 Gigs of ram
120 G HDD
40 G HDD
300 G HDD
--> two connected via usb devices
12x DVD-RW drive
Radeon 9600
some 400W cheapo PSU
And covering it all, a nice Acrylic case
rawr.
I need to upgrade my processor but that requires buying a new board and I haven't decided on amd versus intel yet.
P4 3300 HT
1024 RAM
180 GB HDD (full)
180 GB HDD (170 left)
ATI RADEON X600 256MB
DVD RW x8
DVD x16
cant remember the rest
