Deal :)
Work is kicking my ass right now.
Who put up with whose madness?

Lots of roleclaiming and not lots of doubting.
~INTENSE~
I am at the edge of my seat here. xD
Never knew the town hall debating room had so many spectators :)
If I weren't dead, I'd be in there kicking your asses for missing something so obvious.
Gaaaaaah. I'm going to go take about fifty migrane pills and watch spongebob.
The whole night goes by and nobody has tried to figure out who killed me?
I need to know so I canpost my balls in their visitor messagespost my balls in their visitor messages.

You knew this was coming.
Haunt our killers, obviously.
Now I wish I was in this game. :(
What about me then? Haunt my victims ghost's...? xD
I get the feeling I will never live that one down. :p
I know how to pluralise, thx. :3
That being said, I don't exactly know what was going on in my head when I typed that. xD
We know how Bley's will haunt you! Apostrophes flying everywhere. :|
'' ' Oh god!' ' Th'ere ev'er''ywhere! Som'ebod'y for the lov'e ''' of god he'lp me!'''
Don't we have a majority lynch? Let's get this moving.
It's going on 8 am in Queensland, The little moogle is probably still tucked in his bed
This is really the CK competition all over again. I lasted longer than I thought I would, had a lot more fun than I expected, and came out of it liking my opponents better than I did going in.
That's right, all 3 of the people I like better now than when we started are/were mafia. I'm rooting for the mafs now.
Screw you bleys.
What? They're playing a better game. They deserve to win.

SO MUCH PRESSURE. I MUST SAVE EVERYONE!
Make the right decision!
No, make the wrong decision!
Come on guys, you can do it town. :excited:
Oh, this is delicious.
The one I'm rooting for is still in it to win it
Welp, I did my best. Town is pretty borked at this point, but we did what we could. I played horribly as Biggs but I think I redeemed myself as Rikku, giving us a fighting chance for a while. That Gunsmith role really needed to be played from the beginning. It was key. Same with JailKeeper. A pretty powerful role during endgame to be stuck on an inactive player. Too many damn inactives in this game.
This was one of the most fun mafia games I have ever played, Jiro. Thanks for putting it together and letting me come back in three times.
Congrats to whoever wins but I'm hoping for a miracle by the town.
It would have been funnier if Wedge was killed instead of Cid and Jiro threw one more account at me. :p
Goddamnit del, stop dying xD
I died more times in this game than I have in all previous mafia games combined. :D
Oh, I get it now.
Can I just say I've really enjoyed myself, and like Bleys, surpassed all my expectations!! :D
I made it to the penultimate day. I'm chuffed. And can I just say, the town must lynch Faris. She's mafia! Come on, it's a no-brainer.
I spent the whole game thinking Wedge was Fomalhaut. Now I have no idea who anybody is.
What I really want to know--and can't find out until after the lynch--is if Faris killed me, or if I'm actually rooting for my own killer.
Hey now. Wedge is alive. We're not. Give the guy (?) some credit.
Not only that, but think of it this way: Faris is almost certainly going to die today. Leon and Luneth have both claimed protective roles; one is lying, one is not. If both the mafioso and the protector target the same person tonight, they'll pretty much have to vote for each other tomorrow, meaning Wedge decides who wins and who loses. That's worth something.
And I am amazed. Seriously, for someone so awful at his role, he certainly has charged forward somehow. Somehow.
Seriously. Kudos.
Edit: The ghost of Penelo is more annoying here than in her own game! Mwhaha!
This game is all sorts of bonkers. :p
I'm amazed everyone hasn't voted Faris. She is confirmed scum. Why are they not voting Faris? It just doesn't make sense.
I hope you are thoroughly enjoying these exciting final stages!
I've got to go to sixth form now :(
I guess Ghost Penelo is going bed? I haven't really thought her flavour through.
You should probably stop creepy repping people too xD It's scaring some people! (send some to me I like being creeped out :D)
I probably have more reps on this account than I do on my actual account
How is this game still going? xD
Go team! :}
LYNCH LUNETH LYNCH LUNETH
Oh man. Did not see that coming. xD
Finally, now I can rest in peace.
Now Faris will make her final night kill. But we do have a doctor... Who will she pick?!
50/50 shot Leon. You can do it!
Go faris, make us win!
*bow*
My mistake was letting Faris live. I deliberately engineered this situation of Faris, me, Wedge and Leon and had assumed they'd lynch Faris and I could take my 50-50 shot at success.
You win some, you lose some :monster:
IS IT TOO LATE TO CLAIM BOMB???
It is never too late.
TICK TOCK TICK TOCK LEON ;)
You guys wait until you see the night actions. This eventually should never have occurred. But it's so much better this way :mog:
So LYNCH BIGGS really was a mafia conspiracy? I guess you got what you all deserved then.
Should have kept me alive, Psy. I would have voted for Faris. Then you could have laughed at me forever even more. :p
I did my best Town!
I did enjoy taking 2/3 of your team down as Rikku yes. I mainly ignored you because there was still other mafia left, but Armed Bodyguard was a great claim and it completely negated using my role to out you.
I knew you'd pull some sort of scheme with your investigation of me. I just didn't see it being that. I should've said "no gun, go away :colbert:" (if you'd found a gun you'd have said so) but then I made a LOT of poor decisions in this game.
Also no disrespect to Wedge with my final words to her... I was trying to get you to reconsider. You made the right choice. Sadly. :p
How this day should've ended, lynch Wedge, Leon protects self, mafia shoots each other, Leon wins. :p
If you said no gun then I would have pushed it and said gun just to see your reaction. If you made that phony claim at that point then I would have figured you out. So you did it right by getting ahead of the situation.
Though if you really were town you wouldn't have played my game at all, instead you would have doubted my role. I picked up on that but had easier fish to fry so I ignored it.
I want to see what all the Oracle's 'whispers' were for all the characters.
I'm torn between being disappointed that the one I was rooting for is gone and cackling in mad glee at those last few posts.
Don't know who to root for now. Leon, I guess.
I am not offended, I am still in shock! I poked the bear and lived to tell about it!
Holy crap this game xD
This is turning out to be a better game than I had hoped. Good luck to the rest of the players.
My final opinion on the survivors:
Leon: Plays a very good game and should be happy with himself. Despite not really being noteworthy at the start, as the game drew on he really shined as an outstanding player.
Faris: Obvious scum, but still could win if she chooses correctly. This is literally 50/50. Throughout the game, the tracker role-claim played well to her favour. I'm impressed.
Wedge: By Jove he's still here. Despite not having the best track record as cop, he's still here. As much as I mock him and his lack of reports, he is still an amazing player and I commend him for lasting this long.
Who will win? For me, town has the upper hand despite having a slow start and making a myriad of mistakes. If Faris does chose correctly, then what happens? It's 1 scum vs 1 town. Is it just declared a ceasefire?
No, Town will lose because a majority can't be reached for a lynch and Mafia will kill the following night.
Usually when the number of mafia equal the number of town, the mafia wins. They have guns after all.
Wedge's ineffectiveness in his role actually worked to an advantage. He was suspected all game so the mafia never wanted to kill him since he would be a good scapegoat.
Actually, if Faris makes the kill tonight, the Mafia would win.
Who do you think Faris will kill, Agent Proto? :greenie:
That's the question, isn't it? The suspense may be what does me in!
One of the two remaining townies. :roll2
There's really no good reason to call it. Both Leon and Wedge have good reason to be protected. It is too hard to call.
So much for that Psychotic and Del murder only, after being killed several times, win. :colbert:
I'm conflicted as to who to root for. Also, 2/3 pirates were cops and one was mafia xD
You should really root for your one true love, [M] Faris!
Who is the real Faris!
Oh how could I ever chose town over my lover :aimkiss:
Let's just run away together! Win-win. ;)
I have to say, as much as I enjoyed following along, you're all lucky I didn't participate. Lol. I have to be the worst Mafia player here. Not a single person who I was "100% sure" or close to 100% was scum ended up being scum. Lol.
But ja. This thrilling conclusion is making up for how bad the Town(not that I can talk) was early on. XD
Sorry Farises, I'm rooting for Leon. I used to be town, after all!
As Ex-Mafia, I have to go for Faris.
Is picking a team because you used to be on it really sportsmanlike?
Who is more deserving of victory? With Luneth eliminated, it's too close to call.
If the town wasn't horrible early on, I'd never have busted out the ham acting & shakespeare and hence would have enjoyed the game less.
The town would have been waaaaay better off if there weren't so many inactives at the start, I mean there were plenty of awesome roles that were simply not used for half the game.
It is just unfortunate, really. :/
Unfortunate that I had no chance of playing the middle of the game even if I wanted to
I agree, and now I understand Jiro's frustration and why he kept throwing accounts at me. For a two-team 4-mafia each setup you really need a ton of town power roles for it to be balanced. And we had that, except half of them were inactive for part of the game.
I do think the town would have had this one easily if all these roles were played. I mean, Cid alone could have prevented a bunch of deaths with his role. Jiro really threw us a bone by randomizing the inactive account night actions. It led me to Penelo and also probably saved my ass a couple times.
Realistically, 25 roles is a bit too much for EoFF. Just a year ago we wouldn't have even gotten that many members to start up. So great game despite that.
It was ambitious, but we did get a lot of returning players like AK, DK, and Jen.
Oh great. Thanks randomised night actions!
I do agree that the roles could have been used better. I mean, the first lynch was a bleeding vigilante! That's a powerful role right there.
It was pretty tough to learn to play Mafia with a role madness game, but I think I was starting to get the hang of it towards the end.
Still, I might have got the hang of it in time to be useful if the town early on had said things like "Your ideas don't make any sense because X, Y, and Z" instead of "Your ideas are stupid and so are you." But then I wouldn't have thought of the Havelock gambit and I'd have had a lot less fun, so it worked out well for me if not for the town.
Then I guess I count as a returning player because I don't think I was in any of those games.
In the last game I had the custom role of Sprinklefairy, where I won if I made everyone happy.
Suffice to say, I caused 3 people to have breakdowns and ragequit. I think Roto ragequit EoFF entirely actually.
Man, I am sad I missed that. xD
How do you sleep at night knowing the misery you've caused?
I didn't mean to! I just wasn't a very good Sprinklefairy! I'm no good at this game :(
Why isn't that mafia game in the archive? How many mafia games have there been since Mafia 20 (DW)?
The thought had honestly never occurred to me. I guess it's been you archiving them all this time - Del Murder for best admin indeed. Anyway, two, as far as I remember. We had world leader mafia (I actually won as mafia!) and heroes and villains mafia.
Oh come on, that last one was poetry. If you didn't like the Sprinklefairy, then you still had the Vanilla Gorilla and the Jiro Cerberus to enjoy!
Have all the night actions been decided yet? Can't take that long, only two to make.
Moved all the recent mafia threads. There may have been a mini-mafia I missed.
Why are there two Mafia XXIs?
The archives would be waaay more fun/less confusing to follow if the mafia accounts weren't all reused and renamed. I can't make sense of bugger all.
Once upon a time I edited the names in, but I'm not doing that again without a more permanent solution to stop needing that.
There may be a way to write a script that edits the name into the post.
Oh, and this might be obvious, but I'd love to see a Shakespeare-themed mafia game somewhere down the line.
I'll even run it, but not until I've played enough games that a) I've been mafia at least once, and b) I get enough experience as town that I'm not a hopeless liability to my team.
My perfect storm of awesome would be if someone experienced ran a Shakespeare-themed mafia game, and I rolled mafia as Iago. Especially if the Godfather was someone ridiculous like Mustardseed or the Cockney gravedigger from Hamlet and someone else rolled Mistress Quickly, complete with Judi Dench avatar and RP'd it as a dominatrix xD
I got a game planned right now if necessary. :monster:
By the way, you're all welcome for that mental image of Judi Dench as a dominatrix.
I just played 4 games in a row so I could use a break. :p
Do these things usually run back-to-back? I thought it was twice a year like the Ciddies!
This game was waaay too epic to start another one right away; I'm going to need until at least after Game 1 of WILTY? to recover.
Hey, if faris wins, I still win right? So I'm rooting for Faris.
I will be revealing the outcome shortly. Hype hype.
As a side note I just want to thank everyone for their feverious imaginations, painting me as the mafia whispering, mail carrying, serial killer gave me quite a few laughs!
Goddamn Proto, that was beautiful!
It was elementary, my dear Laddy. :holmes:
Nicely done pr00t! :D
Nice job triads!
I knew mah girl wouldn't let me down. :aimkiss:
A deserved win, Proto. Claiming Tracker so early on was pretty brilliant.
Congratulations Jeff! Poor, poor Leon :(
Night actions incoming, you just wait and see the mindsmurf that happened :p
Amazing flavour text by Jiro, well done!
And also. Wow. Just wow. So Mafia are victorious! Congrats to all involved, especially Faris; you are a true champion.
Yess! :D Go Mafia 1! Looking at the votes, Mafia 2 were hardly around at the beginning. xD Ah well.
Well done to everyone who played. :D It was an exciting game for sure.
Also Psychotic's teams got 2nd and 3rd place. That averaged out to 2.5 place. Since town got 2nd place that means I'm better than Psychotic. Yep. Math.
Is this the first time an admitted mafia lasted two full days and then ends up winning the game?
I was ready to let Town win if Cid had turned up scum. There would be no possible way for me to win in that scenario.
You did fine. You lynched all the Biggs conspirators and that's all that matters.
Don't worry Jen, I gambled too.
All of the blame lies with Leon, seeing as he actually caused the End Game situation by protecting Luneth on Night 6. Without Luneth, the whole thing would've been over. :monster: But I'll get to that, official awards to be handed out in a moment.
Argh! So close!
Picked the wrong glass of wine!
I'm curious to know if you deliberated over your choice for a while, or if you just flipped a coin on it like I did xD
That was some crazy play. xD
I kept picking town/people who got killed that night. I really played a bad game haha but then again I was only half paying attention. Work reallly got in the way for me this game. Stupid black friday retail madness.
We almost did it, Timekeeper! So close!
I really hope people take the time to see how nice and pretty and organised sweet dear Penelo made the Yakuza's office of evil.
The Mafia Forums are both visible to guests so you can go and explore them - check the Role Mognets for the link.
I will field any questions you guys have and clarify any points. Everything was intricately placed to counterbalance something else, so if you don't understand a role, please tell me!
Weren't there more nights? It only goes to the actions of night seven missing six o.o WHO KILLED ME DAMNIT!
Can I just say; I've been reading the Triad's inner sanctum Mafia thread, and they are just so disorganised. They've not highlighted important posts, or bookmark exactly where the night actions are. Even worse, there's no love! I wrote a heartfelt closing letter to end off my stay at the offices of evil, as well as make up an entire backstory for the building.
I think in terms of dedication and effort, Penelo easily wins. :p
Pssh, we didn't need that obviously. ;)
Also, people kept commenting about why Faris threw Galuf under the bus so early on? He had 0 communication with us, it would have been easier to come up with something that wouldn't have made him suspicious to everyone if he'd actually talked to us ever. :( It was a tough, but necessary decision. xD
I love how I wrote Penelo back in:
Penelo is alive! Hahaha!Quote:

Nothing wrong with planning for the possibility of what you're saying being true. ;) We doubt, but also make sure that we do not disregard. :3
everyone tried to kill me :(
Honestly I was going to role claim with my investigation at the end of day 6 but I ran out of time. I got in there late. I was going to confirm Wedge's innocence. I figured though that I was flying enough under the radar I may have been able to get at least one more night of investigation, ironically I planned on going for penelo and then going "SCUM" but penelo roleblocked me and killed me. xD
You still had three other members! After soup/Blank was unfortunately lynched, we didn't stop organising, we embraced it.
Still, were all dead. Maybe I was concentrating too much on that than winning.
Too much organising the mafia forum, not enough actually getting involved with the game. ;)
I felt that wedge was innocent but i was tired of everyone saying "OMG WEDGE ISN'T INNOCENT!" so I was like "just investigate wedge so they'll stfu already and i'll roleclaim tomorrow or something." Then I didn't follow through with my role claiming and that caused longer "omg wedge isn't innocent!" And strangely enough wedge must have felt I was innocent since they sent the whisper to me xD When I got that I was like "damnit I wasted an investigation, that confirms wedge."
I think my team was made solely of scum first-timers.
Well, at least people who survey the forum know exactly where everything is.
Helps to be organised. Otherwise people just get confused. Besides, it's nice to play around with the backstories behind the office of evil. :)
Doctor is seriously harder than I thought.
I should have brought more attention to myself, but it's difficult being an 'inactive' antipodean...
The big reveal did not disappoint. Well done on the setup.
I thought this was a pretty great mafia and you did a great job with it dude. I was defintely mindsmurfed by day 5 or so. I had fun with it anyway.
I think my own favourite part (or at least that I was involved in) was wasting Laguna on night one and everyone else (especially Bleys) being utterly blagged by it on day 2 and trying to work out what the smurf had gone on, and what the reasons were behind us doing it, when all it was was me reading the thread and feeling "I don't like this guy he will be dangerous, we should get rid of him" and finally convincing the other people in my team to kill him. Then bam, Doctor Del. Then hilarity ensues. I loved it.
You didn't kill Laguna, though. Somehow both targets of the Bus Driver were shot on Night 1! So at least I saved somebody.
Reading through the mafia forum, is this how Psychotic is when not restrained by the rules of EoFF? It's frightening.
Well that's just ruined my day :( at least you died. :colbert:
edit: my other favourite part of the game was I think the day two or night two, possibly 3 thread in the mafia forum. There is a special surprise in there waiting for all the townie players and members of the other mafia. :)
Night 2 - standard kill is the thread, now I've checked again. We all went kind of mental, it was great.
Must have sucked to have been the remaining town stuck between the mobsters. That end-game was to find out which mafia won; town never had a chance after it murdered itself. Good game.
Aw thanks. :p You did pretty well for your first game! :D
But you were really gunning for me. It had me super concerned for Setzer's last day (or two). I was doing so well hiding in plain sight until you made those crazy claims. If you hadn't pointed me out, I probably would have survived another night. I loved how on at least one occasion people made lists of all the characters and simply forgot to include Setzer, even if I'd just posted. xD
The gunning for Wakka did not worry me so much because HC had already made him super scummy with his earlier play. My poor replacing just didn't help that earlier suspicious activity. :p
But thanks a lot to Jiro for setting this all up and keeping up with the shenanigans. I had a great time. :D
Cid was the best Jailkeeper! Randomized power roles are amazing
I actually want to see what the night actions were there but I'd have to actually know what relevance they had (if any) being randomized after Night 3 (which is when I quit and stopped paying attention)
Next mafia game should just be 20 power roles with random actions. there's the real mindsmurf
Night Two Actions
Sequence:
[M] Kain - Switch Serah With Quistis
[M] Leon - Protect Wedge
[M] Cid - Jailkeep Balthier
[M] Rydia - Apothecary Noctis
[M] Setzer - Kill Kain
[M] Luneth - Kill Quina
[M] Luneth - Sharpshoot Serah
[M] Penelo - Roleblock Wedge
[M] Relm - Grift Relm
[M] Wakka - Frame Noctis
[M] Leila - Investigate Wedge
[M] Rikku - Investigate Quistis
[M] Refia - Spy on Quistis
Outcome:
[M] Quistis is killed by poison.
[M] Serah is killed.
[M] Kain is killed.
[M] Quina is killed.
[M] Wedge is roleblocked.
[M] Balthier is roleblocked.
How does that work?
We only killed you because you got the message from Wedge after we roleblocked Wedge, and we thought that meant you were lying and thus scum. Lucky break. The triple posting or the rampant profanity?
Finally, thank you to Jiro for running such a fun game and devising a suitably fiendish set up. :)
Yes, Jiro and Goldenboko must both be praised for a smashing game and making me lose my Mafia virginity.
Here's how I approached each of my four accounts, if anyone cares. I played them all slightly differently.
Laguna - I played this different than my usual approach (lay low for the first few days and then come on strong) since I got Doctor. My goal was to appear helpful so that the mafia would target me. It worked. Of course I didn't expect the stupid Bus Driver to take my protection away.
Quina - I made a very awful attempt to hint at Bomb (all that explosive diarrhea stuff) so that I wouldn't be killed. Really I should have played my usual strategy of laying low but I was anxious to get back into it. Playing BP while also being useful is hard.
Biggs - I came on strong as Biggs because my role had the ability to kill a mafia who tried to kill me. I tried to make it obvious who I was so that the mafia would be 'lol lets kill Del' again. I also made the very awful Vengeful claim in hopes of attracting a kill but that didn't work either and I ended up killing poor Refia instead. Then the mafia ganged up on me and lynched me (but they paid for it in the end). I think if I never claimed it would have been better, but with all the inactives there's not much you could do when 3 mafia pile votes on you.
Rikku - Gunsmith is probably the best role I could have landed at this point and Jiro gifted the Penelo reveal to me. At this point I figured the town was up against it so there was no reason to play it safe, so I went out and claimed straight away and went full on against anyone who had a gun result. I also played a little trickery to get Luneth and Faris to admit they had guns and that led to the town having the best chance it possibly had. I got my revenge for Biggs and also helped the town have a 50/50 shot at winning in the end. Pretty good redemption.
Well, I'm glad I could come back to EoFF for a little while to be a Jackass.
You have to do what comes natural after all.
I enjoyed the mayhem you created. Though you will never top WWF mafia.
WWF Mafia was pretty incredible, and AK was amazing in that, but get your filthy reminiscing outta my game :argh: I'm glad you dudes all enjoyed yourselves though, I had a blast. Looking forward to actually playing for the first time in a long time though.
Long time? The Jiro Cerberus was the last game before this one :colbert:
Nah, I hosted a game with HC!
Edit: actually you might be right there. Playing three accounts is tough.
What's sad is I only decided to spy on you at the last second, because I had a big feeling you would be targeted and killed, and thus give me a list of who was at your place the night you died. Even worse I was about to investigate Faris that night instead because I seriously didn't believe that claim of his, I figured it was a fake claim from scum, or someone who showed experience was just that bad, and from my experience it tends to be the former. Sadly I was my own undoing before I could reveal what I could about what people did at night.
Nah, you only play like a first timer.
Del Murder is the Village Idiot, who wins by getting shot in the crotch by the Mafia.
That would be Murd's ideal role. It's like a night Jester and considering he's been lynched once in the entire history of EoFF Mafia, he stands a good chance.
