Haha, I was almost completely sure you'd go for that spot. And my guess turned out to be true. Another? :p

Haha, I was almost completely sure you'd go for that spot. And my guess turned out to be true. Another? :p
I am predictable like that xD
Step 1: get RID of the GF cards. Step 2: win. xD
That was a good, close match though.
Your smurfing Elvoret was such an unknown quantity. I didn't see it coming. Also I couldn't remember all the card values so I was having to take gambles on where you could hit me with a Same/Plus.
...although "everywhere" seems about right :exdee:
Haha, well I guess I had a small advantage then, since I actually took time to recall all the cards in the last match. And yeah, Elvoret is Ifrit's new best buddy. :p
ULTIMA SHADOW, aka the Swedish Dreamboat vs JIRO, aka the Australian Disco Diva!
Both these two fine stallions have had a difficult road to the finals, both losing matches to fellow countrymen in the group stage. Ultima Shadow started off with a shock loss to Rantz which saw him bottom of the Moogle group, but turned on the style with a fine victory over Mirage and then putting Quin to the sword. He was then on tenterhooks for the outcome between Rantz and Quin until it was declared a tie. He then successfully staved off WildRaubtier and broke his 100% win record to march into the final.
Jiro, meanwhile, steamed ahead in Tonberry, putting Loony BoB down right away. He then suffered a blow at the hands of Wild Raubtier, but managed to utterly destroy Jowy 8-2 to qualify as best runner up. Like Shadow, he too faced an opponent who had not yet lost, Citizen Bleys, in the semi-finals. And like Shadow, he managed to emerge victorious.
So, what are they fighting for? I'll tell you what. EoFF's first ever Level 10 Triple Triad card. Oh yes. 2,025 gil will also be awarded to the man who comes out on top. There will be a reward for the runner up too, as he will receive a Level 9 card and 1,025 gil!
Meanwhile, in our third place playoff, CITIZEN BLEYS will take on WILDRAUBTIER.
WildRaubtier has expressed a desire to have nothing more to do with this thread. Will the third place prize, a Level 8 Card and 525 gil, be enough to tempt him into battle against the wily Canadian?
RULES
- Combo
- Plus
- Same
- Elemental
- Sudden Death
- Trade rule: 0
Oh, and random of course. ;) (SPOILER)just kidding, relax shads! :aimkiss:
Alright, Jiro. Let's do this.
...I got a feeling that the elemental rule will end up being the deciding factor that screws one of us over somehow. :p
That's why it's there. ;)
For those Fire Players who are eager to crack on, I intend to do some work on that shortly. Bracket has been updated: Fire Tournament - CHALLONGE!
My understanding is BoB v Quin and Jowy v Jiro are still ongoing, and Red Mage Coffman has not made a move in some time in Rantz's game. I'll probably consider giving Rantz a bye.
God straight knock out. Alright. Hit me.
Bless my bark, so you did. Welp. :shobon: Updated!
Played like 20 practice matches
Finally got an okay strategy to take on the Jumbo Cactuars and Propagators of Doom
Shads changes style completely
I'm boned :shobon:
Bare with me folks there was a technical glitch.
Aaaand, Jiro actually beat me when it counted the most.
...I shall never use Ifrit ever again. He only brings me bad luck, apparently. :p
That's why I ended up losing him to you. Useless card. xD
I'd like to say it was an easy victory, but Ultima Shadow pushed me to an entirely new level. I've never played that intelligently. So thank you for being an absolute bro.
