Ahh good old Shads. I taught him everything he knows, y'know. He's doing me proud!

It's time for a montage. I've become the perfect fighter.
We do indeed have a winner! Congratulations to Jiro! Congratulations to both, really! It was a hard fought contest. Prizes will be given out at the end.
Now, speaking of prizes, Jiro has earned himself a little extra bonus. For you see, he correctly predicted an Australian winner and thus earns 500 gil! kotora is the only other person to do so and will also scoop the prize.
Meanwhile, Rantz and WildRaubtier were the only people to predict that Bleys, Ultima Shadow and WildRaubtier would top their groups and will both pick up a cool 1,000 gil. We do of course still have our third place match between Bleys and WR to come.
I'd also like to mention that the elemental rule DID screw me over. Just so you all know. Silly rule. :colbert:
(SPOILER)
:doublecolbert:
I always said that rule sucked, and you never listened to me! Just sayin' :colbert:
Indeed, I'm not a fan of Elemental, either. Although it's invaluable for Sudden Death matches as otherwise you can sometimes end up playing exactly the same games over and over and nobody wins. So it's needed to help resolve things like that by adding variation to the board.
On a Fire note, I think I'm assured of victory over Quin now. Unless I've miscalculated something.
EDIT: Just realised I'll be up against Ulti if I win. Dammit.
Oh, I still have another match? This is unexpected.
I've wanted a crack at WR since we both came up 3/0 in our initial brackets.
Am I the only one who loves Elemental? Not even because it helped me win, I've loved using it always. It makes the tough cards even easier to topple!
Apparently so!
Right, should we go ahead with the matches in Fire we know are happening, ie Raistlin v Faris and Iceglow v AK? If so, I'll post the rules for the next round and wait for BoB/Quin and Rantz/RMC to catch up.
Hah. I completely forgot Plus wasn't active. Brilliant. xD
BoB wins. He just has to take his move.
I mainly dislike it because it feels like all it ever does is nerf cards in random spots. It's very, very rare for the actual elements to matter (even if you play an elemental card and there's a spot with the same element, it's very likely that it's a bad spot for the card and you don't want to place it there anyway). Basically... I think it would have been better if the elemental spots only gave plus to cards of the same element instead of nerfing all other cards. However... more of the cards should be elemental then, and there could be a bit less different kinds of elements. And then every spot could always have some kind of element when playing with the elemental rule. That would make it more important and interesting to actually use elemental cards. :p
...also @ Jiro: since you emerged victorious in the grand final, I think you deserve a chance to win Ifrit back now. HOWEVER... how about we do it like this: if you win, you can just snatch the Ifrit card. But if I win, you will have to use Leviathan the next time you try to win the Ifrit card back. Meaning you will be losing Leviathan if you lose the second time too. Sounds fair? :greenie:
...@ Psy: I'm all for that.
Alright, Iceglow, get ready!
fwiw bleys and i already got this game underway
thats right
i didn't do this for the REST of you
