Why do people pair Auron with Rikku?

Oh wow, what a thread revival this one is. Surprised I haven't posted in this one yet.

I have never seen this Auron/Rikku pairing. Was it a thing?

I've never heard of it, but I guess it use to be a thing. It's about one of the duller match-ups, but whatever floats your boat. Here is a clean pic of them together.

Auron always has a lot less grey hair in the pairing pics. I don't get it at all. I swear people just ship them because they're trying to match up everyone but nobody wants Kimahri to get any action.

Why does anyone put anyone together with anyone? Because "OMG they're so cute together!" A lot of crack ships out there don't work under logic, that's why they're called crack ships.
