I've played Freelancer brah
what'd you think?
Can't remember, it was a long time ago.
Bionic Commando: Rearmed. Starting to get a feel for the controls but dayum it's pretty difficult.
At the moment I'm playing Doom.
And you should all be playing Doom too.
im at 59 :(
i can't get it any better than 59 tho
The "Sword of Islam" ex-pac for Crusader Kings 2 was released today so I've been playing that quite a bit. I hadn't touched that game in a few months and now I've remembered how great it is :jess:
Aion NA Truly Free
Started all over, I made a ranger, played 4 hours, now lvl 10.
Virtual Apple 2 - Online disk archive -- President Elect 88
This you guys
It's a text-based presidential election simulator and augh why can't I stop playing :onoes:
assassins creed 2
what a step up from that piece of whatever that ac1 was
Chrono Cross. It's my first playthrough!
Danielle and I played Freelancer co-op style, and it was awesome. I can't for the life of me understand why there is not a new game with similar mechanics that is not an MMO. If they made a modern sci-fi game where you had to do Freelancer-esque missions, co-op style, it would be amazing. But they're all single player or they're MMO. And that's just meh.
I know. They were planning on making a freelancer 2, which apparently was nearly done, when the company was bought out and the project canceled. I cannot figure out why microsoft wont continue the project considering the huge fanbase the game has. They pretty much have the story all set up with the return of the don kavosh and the opening up of the rest of the galaxy.
Fallout: New Vegas. :) I'm currently going through as a neutral female who uses energy weapons, on hardcore mode! which I never did before this... AND IT'S AWESOME.
Saw that the Penny Arcade games were on sale on Steam so I got those. I also bought the third episode that was just released, too. The same guys who made the third episode also made the indie games Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World, both of which I am very big fans of.
Persona P3P is my next 'big' PSP game I'm going to play but I'm a little saturated with JRPGs at the moment, so I wanted to try something a little different. I did some searches on 'best PSP games' and found that a little gem called Mega Man Powered Up, a remake of the first Mega Man game, exists. So I'm going to give it a try. Apparently you can play as the original 6 robot masters at some point and the game also features two new robot masters, which sounds pretty cool.
The only megamans I liked were battlenetwork games and the ones where you can absorb enemes and turn into them.
The Dragon's Dogma demo. I've gotten to the point where I can beat the griffon in less than a minute. :jess:
Currently playing...
FFTA2 on my DS, I enjoy the game though I'm at the "late game" part, my clan is pretty much indefeatable, I've mastered most jobs and I've completed in the region of 260 quests (obviously excluding any repeated quests) I really ought to cracking on the actual quests coming up but I'm attempting to build some characters up who join the party (Vaan, Penelo, Frimelda, Hurdy for example) I just wish getting them to learn new abilities didn't take so bloody long, currently slogging through the soldier job on both Vaan and Frimelda, the white mage job on Penelo and just mastered black mage and moogle knight for Hurdy.
On my 360 I've been alternating:
AC1 been trying to find the energy to complete this, unfortunately I'm a perfectionist so I feel obligated to hunt the flags down. Been trying to ignore that and just complete the damn game so I can play AC2 and Brotherhood before borrowing Revelations prior to AC3 coming out in the fall! God help me.
ME3, I just imported my ME3 shepherd from my completed paragon run through and cranked the difficulty up to Insanity level. I've been doing just fine when I don't forget not to make stupid mistakes, though it looks like I'm going to need to redo it because I smurfed up, I equipped my scorpion pistol on mars as it is one of my favourite pistols (who doesn't like a pistol what fires grenades pack an smg with ultra light materials and an assault rifle and you're essentially a walking tank) however the explosive rounds take too long to explode during the face off with the EDI body on the roof and so I keep getting killed.
just started Red Dead Redemption.
the game is fun, but im always a bit fearfull with my horse.. i want to keep mine, but im afraid that when i catch and brake a new horse that i will lose my current one :o
You keep your horse unless you tie the new one to a post. Except in one story situation in which you are forced to get a better yellow horse near the beginning
Finished Heavy Rain a few days ago. While it's not controlled like a conventional video game and it feels like a movie or a tv mini-series, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I will definitely play it again to see the different endings.
I just started inFamous and I'm finding it a bit slow. It's a sandbox kind of game, but it's not as engrossing as GTA is. It's fun, and there are definitely elements of it that are awesome. Am I the only one who thinks of Static Shock when playing inFamous?
I played Age of Empires II with my friends through Voobly, it was pretty awesome and I forgot how to play well. But it has been a while too, like 6 years or so.
Tomorrow we are going to try Stronghold 2 Deluxe over the internet, I can't wait! :kakapo:
I am also playing Aion Truly Free, I am lvl 25 with my ranger and I have a house, that 3.0 update is really cool.
I'm about to play some Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne right now baaby!!!
Simcity 4! It's taken me 3 failed cities to figure out not to listen to the stupid advisers. If I do, I run out of money fast. They don't know wtf they are talking about. Then they bitch about taxes but then they are all "we don't have money! Put money into our schools! But don't tax us!" Bitch that's how it works.
Every teenager should have to play Simcity to learn how taxes and economics work haha
I just finished Xenoblade Chronicles not too long ago, so I'm less inclined to jump into anything new. So I am mostly going through older games, or titles I haven't finished yet. Right now, I'm in a FF kick so I've been replaying FFI on Virtual Console, FFVI Advance, and surprisingly, Dissidia Duodecim, though I am quickly being reminded how my OCD makes the game far more irritating than it was meant to be... :sweatdrop
Lately, I've been thinking of either playing through Civilization 2 again, finally starting Skyward Sword, or even start a new RPG project on RPG Maker.
Wrapped up Super Mario Galaxy with the boyfriend last week. We had a race to see who would get 120 stars first. That involved having two TV's, two Nintendo wii's and two copies of Super Mario Galaxy. No problemo:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...76119596_n.jpg
It was incredible tight all the way through, we were almost always one star away from eachother the whole time, with the maximum being three stars at one point. I got the 120th star when he had 119 stars, and he got his last star while I was fighting bowser. I only won by about three minutes. Close! Looking forward to our upcoming Super Mario Galaxy 2 race.
Right now I'm playing the HD version of Shadow of the Colossus, and I'm also playing some Portal 2. I really want to start up Sinking Island as well.
Played a ton of Magic the Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 on Steam today and about to in a little bit... sooo addicting.
Oh man, Endless Space is getting better and better. Can't wait for July 4 so I can get the final version. Anyways, that's pretty much all I've been playing lately.
Planescape: Torment. One of my friends recommended it to me the other day. It's already full of so much awesomeness, and I haven't even found out how to find this Pharod guy... (I think I know where he's supposed to be, but I don't know how to get there.)
OMRPG Serenia Fantasy
Gameplay: it's an RPG, repetitive. As an online game, it doesn't leave itself much room to experiment with mini-games and tweaks in the mechanics. I enjoy item hunting, but that is also repetitive.
Mechanics: point-and-click... no further interaction. I don't know how many ORPGs have an auto system, but you can setup your character to automatically attack certain creatures (usually this includes Elites but you can disable that... unfortunately, if you're hunting Elites and there are normal monsters near, there's no way to tell your character to distinguish between the two), usually there are links in the quests that you receive which by clicking on them cause your character to not only attack automatically but travel over long distances to the location where the monster can be found. Certain skills in your arsenal are usually used automatically too, but I have yet to understand how that system works.
Events: I'm not yet at a high enough level for "true events" but I have engaged in a side adventure called Instance multiple times. Since I have no allies yet, I use an auto-party to survive the aggressive mass armies and the LV60 boss at the end.
Quests: Pretty much every quest leads to a new one. Then there are "Daily Quests", one list requiring you to speak to the Quest Agent, and another list which exists on your daily reminder board.
Avatar: Costumes can be found rarely (I joined because I heard of a Cloud costume), and you can choose whether to show you're wearing it. There's apparently a costume that allows you to appear Naked as I've seen at least twelve people or maybe it was the same two people repeatedly. At level 20, (after approaching a Crusader Marshal in the Imperial City about Instance) you can obtain a mount which is also an optional display. Early on, you obtain the ability to take on Spirit forms of various monsters by hatching Spirit Eggs (usually these hatches are unsuccessful but you get two free ones to start). You have no access to your regular arsenal of skills while in these forms, so sometimes, it's just a costume, but you have access to the monster's skills so you can still attack sometimes.
Obtaining Items: I've mentioned the hunting/gathering, but many items you obtain through quests along with EXP, Gold, or Talent points. There's a crafting system also (I've always enjoyed making my own stuff like in Star Ocean, Castlevania, Rogue Galaxy, etc) not only for making new items but for upgrading the original version.
Decided to do a complete playthrough of the first Final Fantasy (NES version). I haven't played the game in over 20 years, so it's pretty fun trying to remember all of the stuff in the game, and there's quite a bit of nostalgia too. I'm also quickly remembering how much grinding there is in the early parts of the game. :p
Been playing quite a bit of Endless Space as well. It first caught my eye when it went up on Steam. I think it's the first game to pretty much get set up for what amounts to Alpha Funding that has appeared on the service (correct me if I'm wrong). It's probably my favorite 4X game since Master of Orion 2 (sorry, Galactic Civilization 2, can we still be friends?). Liking the Pilgrims a lot as a science-based race, and want to fiddle around a bit more with the Sowers and Ameabas at some point.
Other than that, I've had random compulsions to play classic Ridge Racer games (mostly R4 and Rage). While I'm not a fan of recent games in the series, I always love coming back to earlier installments now and then. :)
i started Red Dead Redemtoin, and i love everything about it
and for the first time i say: the horses look great!!
you can really see that they put an efford in it becaus they look beautifull and theire movements are all acurate!
the only problem that i have is that im getting quite attached to my horse.
even though i do want to break some wild horses (im afraid ill loose my horse if i break a new one)
Started Command & Conquer 3 in honor of the 75% off sale of all C&C titles on Steam right now. I really wanted this game when I got my last laptop, but the specs were just below required. I was really excited to download it. I only played the first GDI mission and I think they really nailed the aesthetics with the story and cutscenes hard. Not so sure about the gameplay. It just seems like more Tiberian Sun, but I'll take more Tiberian Sun anyday over the horrible things I heard they did in C&C4 or the weird things they did in RA3.
Mount & Blade: Warband. Addictive as smurf. I've spent so long trying to impress this dude so he will let me marry his daughter. What a jackass.
I was playing Forsaken World ,its about vampire:jess::love: Pokemon? No! It is pocamon, a browser games mmo that is also available on Facebook. Just like bigpoint's Game of Thrones Seven Kingdoms, you are role playing many characters in baby-world.
Mega Man Powered Up was fun but going through the same areas over and over gets repetitive. I then tried Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles which is way old school, maybe too much for my tastes, but the graphics are stunning.
I am now diving into Persona P3P and it's a...weird game. When WK said in another thread that it's half high school dating sim, half dungeon crawler, I thought he was exaggerating...but he's not at all. It took a bit to get into but so far I'm hooked. Dungeon crawlers usually bore me after a while though so we'll see.
Some advice on the dungeon crawler aspect of P3. If you hit the square button while exploring the dungeon, you can change what your party does, like making them split up and explore the dungeon for you so you get the loot and find the exit without worrying too much about fighting. You can also have them prioritize fighting without you, so they can level without you. I find this makes exploring the dungeons much less repetitive and quicker. You can also change the music with the square button as well so you don't have to hear the same music over and over.
I just can't put down Dark Souls, but sometimes I make a little progress in the original Deus Ex.
Started inFamous, but I picked up May Payne 3 and haven't been able to put it down. I also what to play Journey. That looks fantastic.
I picked up Crysis 2 off of the recent PSN sale, been playing it a bit here and there. Not really digging it for whatever reason.
I have been alternating pretty steadily between Pokemon FireRed, Crusader Kings 2, and Endless Space. The first of those games really needs no introduction (I just wanted to play it again because I haven't in a while). CK2 is a grand strategy game from back in February that I didn't play for a couple of months but am getting back into again, and Endless Space is a pretty new (and very fun) 4X which I've been hawking in a couple of other threads.
I put the Penny Arcade games on hold for now since I am in the middle of a FFV run, and I am enjoying that more. For the record I am in the middle of episode 2 in the Penny Arcade series.
i just 100%'ed the villa and got all the trophies for assassins creed 2
PRETTY SWEET GUYS MY FIRST PLATINUM PSN TROPHY

Currently on ME2
Just finished the game that is Max Payne 3. Brilliant title. One of the best so far this year i feel.
Virtua Fighter 5. Since my old save file got corrupted I have to build Pai back up to Master again. :/
Shining Force II
I recently went back to playing Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, and Zelda (Snes)
I really wish I had stuck it out with Shining Force II, I never finished it for whatever reason! I absolutely adore Shining Force.
Right now I'm play Pokemon Emerald & Assassin's Creed (despite the whole it doesn't always load up problem). I still need to finish I Am Alive & Shadows Of The Damned & my interest in the GT Mode of Gran Turismo 5 has wained considerably. I finished Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare again last week.
Final Fantasies 4 and 6.
Shun Di for life.
Bouncing back and forth between Skyrim, which is somehow not really hooking me in but allowing me to zone out for hours in that beautiful open world game auto pilot, and Fallout 3 which has sucked months out of my life now. I'm damned close to 100% trophies and locations explored in FO3, but I'm suffering from burn out. After a few hundred hours of grinding and fetch quests even the most compelling games will do that to you. So I play FO3 til I can't take it, then Skyrim for a while, then I go back to Fallout because I miss the vibe of the wasteland.
Started Shadow of the Collossus again last week. Went on a tear last night and downed four of them. I'm trying not to get excited for The Last Guardian as I await the inevitable announcement of a further delay.
How's the replayability for that game? Once you figure out how to defeat the Collussi isn't most of the fun taken out of it?
Shadow of the Colossus has New Game+ with rocket launcher.
There is a new game+ where you can also enter time trials and earn new items and weapons.
Personally though, I've never gotten sick of even just the regular game. Sick of some of the more obnoxious colossi perhaps, but I've played through the game several times over the years. It's still just as fun, even if some of the sense of awe you get from playing it for the first time is gone.
This will only be my second full play through of the game and so far it's as amazing as it was last time. I still find it a challenge due to the awkward camera control.
I agree with Pete also... I don't think I could ever get bored of riding around the world on Agro. Not even Zelda can match it for that. Though Red Dead Redemption may just edge it in the 'open world on a horse' department.
Pokémon Conquest. It is amazing. :D
Going through the Gears of War games. On the 2nd one right now.
Aion NA
Doing some quests here and there. There's a LOT of them... I am also trying to get my crafting and gathering skills up, so I can craft myself a new bow.
i downloaded Pokemon Black :D
jaaaj..
So now i have played all generations ^^
Just started ME3
Super Mario 3D Land. :)
Assassin's Creed 2 and I really haven't got enough good things to say about it. A big jump forward from the first game for sure!
amen
Brotherhood is even better.
You can pretty much skip Revalations, all it adds is two new tools and two new moves.
One of the moves is useless, one of the tools most certainly would not be used by a stealthy assassin, and the other one doesn't even make sense in terms of anatomy or physics. Also the town in Revalations kinda sucks. (the collection missions are epic though)
Legend of Grimrock! I got it on Steam sale and it's a fun dungeon-crawling game, inspired by the old adventure games of yore.
You are just wrong:penciltrick:. Revelations is awesome, it's not as glitchy , flows better, Constantinople is a hell of a lot more fun than empty Rome, easily the best story and pacing in the whole damn series, and bombs are fun. Not to mention the Brotherhood system is a hell of lot better barring the Tower defense game, but considering it's really easy to skip it altogether, it's not a problem.
Honestly, I feel Brotherhood is the weak link of the Ezio trilogy. It's buggy, it's sub missions are infuriatingly annoying, it's story is simple but gets dragged out for 20+hours, the vehicle missions are more frustrating than fun. Rome is mostly empty country, the Guilds are treated like they are important but instead they are just extra padding and an excuse to re-use characters from AC2, the Subject 16 missions cycle through the same three damn puzzles. Honestly, Brotherhood really does feel like a DLC chapter that got padded, and released as a full game.
It has much more relevance to the overall story than something that just takes place in desmonds head during a coma. Yes it leads to him knowing where to go next, but desmond is actually interesting in brotherhood. Most people I've talked to agree Constantinople is kind of lame. Again, I will give it the gather missions are awesome, but mostly the game just feels redundant. The whole thing could have been acomplished by one long cutscene.
Except Revelations finally gives you background on Desmond, actually expanding on what little the previous three games mention in passing, as well as finally meeting (well sort of) Subject 16. Not to mention Revelations finally reveals (rather beautifully I might) the ending chapters to both Altair and Ezio, who are both infinitely more interesting than Desmond will ever be. Brotherhood basically spends its time showing you that Cesare is evil, which was established in the first fifteen minutes of the game, whereas Revelations actually has Ezio deep into Ottoman politics with a couple twists and turns and betrayals. You never really know if you are helping the good guys or not, the game really brought back the element of AC1 where you can't tell if you are actually helping or just making a bigger mess out of things. The new cast members were also more interesting.
I can't really grasp how jumping from one Italian city to another is more fun than jumping from a former Roman city now turned into one of the biggest Ottoman capitals in the world. Climbing the minarets was fun and the landmarks were more interesting because the Western world doesn't like talking about Constantinople, whereas they won't shut up about Rome. The mix of Greek, Arabic, and Roman architecture made it visually more interesting than Rome who has a few derelict Roman buildings and the Coliseum and little else to look at that wasn't copied/paste from ACII. The Marco Polo quest also felt way fresher than the Brutus Cult from Brotherhood, which not only didn't go anywhere story wise, but ultimately was just a copy paste of the Assassin's Tombs quest in it's entirety (though the masquerade mission was pretty cool) with your victory being another new "ultimate armor" and weapon.
It's not that I hate Brotherhood, I just honestly felt like it was something either meant for ACII and was cut due to time, or it was meant to be a DLC. While the Desmond sections were nice in Brotherhood, I just find him boring even if he's the "chosen one" and I felt the Desmond sections were better about expanding the quirky support cast of Assassins. Still, the Desmond puzzles in Revelations are just awesome, and I really liked how they mixed his narrative with the level design.
I've been playing a lot of FFXI. It's easily my favorite game of all time. Recently, I've also started playing Halo: Reach. :)
How is the current climate of FFXI?
I'm probably not the best person to ask. I'm not hardcore enough to even have a job over level 50 and I've only partied once in the past 3 months. :p
Generally, it's the same as I've always remembered it, though. Still quite alive!
To be honest guys I wanna get both. I really enjoy the Assassin's Creed gameplay style. The free running & combat blend is a lot of fun. I loved The Saboteur but Assassin's Creed 2 (AC1 not so much) executes the premise in a much more polished manner. I was honestly very surprised with some of the gameplay elements in AC2. Rebuilding the city with the Auditore residence in it was a nice touch I must say thus giving the player an actual incentive to do the slightly repetitive side quests. Getting to each of the Assassin's tombs presents the player with reasonably challenging free running sections & the Templar hideouts are also pretty decent.
It is a pity I have left it this long to dive into what appears to be one of the strongest franchises in gaming.
im a few hours into brotherhood and it is not as smooth and polished as ac2 was. unfortunate.
i was so happy that i had my old stuff from my old saves in ac2 and then friggin fraggin story occured, which makes sense i guess.
dont worry sd, i'm pretty much at the same point as you in the franchise, so it's not just you.
I'm currently in Chapter 11 of Castlevania: Lords of Shadows, it's basically a God of War clone with some elements of Shadow of the Colossus mixed in in both the story and gameplay. I used to think I didn't really like GoW gameplay, but now I'm thinking I just hated Kratos and the Greek setting and the gameplay was it's saving grace.
It's a nice reboot entry with plenty of series in-jokes spread throughout the game, and while I already had the ending spoiled for me (though this twist is what actually made me finally buy it) but the story isn't half bad and having Patrick Stewart play a large role in the games story as a prominent character and as the narrator, really makes me excited to see the start of new chapters. The game play is pretty good, though the platforming segments suffer from the bad camera changes due to pre-rendered backgrounds. It wasn't so bad in the starting chapters but some of the later chapters become really frustrating because either the controls reverse when the camera changes in mid movement onto a new screen, or sometimes the controls get stuck when you are trying to activate levers. Button placement is also a mess as the R2 and L3 buttons have too many abilities attached to them and the circumstances that change the activation of one ability over another is very slim. I'm pretty bad about mashing in the analog sticks when I'm moving so having them actually use them as buttons for absorbing magic (which keeps you stationary) as well as movement can be frustrating.
Overall, it's flawed but pretty fun.
Terraria and Final Fantasy IX.
I've been playing Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. I picked it up from the Steam Summer Sale, and I have been really enjoying it! I also started playing through a demo of Thomas Was Alone, and the game seems brilliant. Someday I will have to pick it up when I have the extra money.
finished ac brotherhood
i do have to echo others in this thread that said rome wasn't as interesting as the locations in ac2. lacked soul. i am pretty unhappy about that ending. i am gonna check out revelations now i suppose. i guess you HAVE to after such a friggin cliffhanger ending.
Replaying Final Fantasy XII, trying to do everything this time.
I totally cheesed this time and used the Dustia levelingcheattrick. :p
oh seriously, there's no desmond bits? is it just ezio's later years?
so my biggest wtf moment was when
(SPOILER)the two male voices said 'he's going into shock' 'put him back in the animus' at the credits of ac brotherhood. i was like 'wtf' is this an animus within an animus scenario now like the inception movie? man that'd be weird.
Well the DLC material actually answers some of the cliffhanger ending to Brotherhood. The Revelations answers the other half concerning the Precursors.
There's more Desmond in Revelations than any of them. You learn a lot about him, his upbringing, how he ended up where he is, and how he's connected to the Assassin Brotherhood. I'm not really sure what HC is talking about when he says it's a different story and you don't learn what happened. They only spend the whole game talking about the end of Brotherhood. But yes, it does also serve as the conclusion to Ezio's story, as far as the games go anyway (the CGI film Assassin's Creed: Embers actually shows the end of Ezio's story).
But it, like all the others, ends on a cliffhanger as well. We won't know what the hell happens until Assassin's Creed III. I'm really interested in how they're going to end it with the whole 2012 Doomsday thing since they're making it a point to end it before that date actually comes.
oh i think it just clicked in my head
(SPOILER)the two guys were talking about subject 16! and des was channeling it or something because of how terrible the current moment was for him. maybe. i dunno.
If you must know...One of the voices is everyone's favorite Brit Shaun and the other is William, the guy Lucy is always emailing and the overseer of their unit. Juno taking over Desmond's body at the end of Brotherhood and killing Lucy caused him to go into a coma, and they throw him back into the Animus to try to restore his mind so he doesn't become like Subject 16. The majority of Desmond's story in Revelations is him trying to piece his mind back together. Instead of The Truth miniquest, you get to do a First Person puzzle platform that relays the entire backstory of Desmond's life from his childhood all the way to the present.
thanks gonna borrow that game asap
(SPOILER) when the heck do they talk about the ending of brotherhood in revolations? they just completely throw it aside with the only remark about lucy being desmonds imaginary #16 saying yeah bro she's dead.
How would he know, he is stuck in Desmonds head.
Yeah I've been thinking about it. The world in Rev may feel weird, but overall it is better than brotherhoods world. HOWEVER, I still say brotherhood was better
Well you still get the whole 2012 story being expanded on for Desmond, and as for Lucy, as I said, the DLC for Revelations will explains all that (or just go to Assassin Creed Wiki if you feel bitter about Ubisoft pulling that). Other than that, there really wasn't anything else in Brotherhood to talk about since Ezio's story is a bit of a throw away plot and Desmond (SPOILER)being in a coma kind of explains why Desmond only speaks to the Assassin Team when the game is over. As for Lucy's fate (SPOILER)and Subject 16, he's technically in the Animus and has access to what Desmond knows as well as the memories of Subject 16 himself who knew she was a dirty traitor.
I'm currently playing the heck out of KoTOR. And still trundling along with my current Pokemon FireRed playthrough.
I finally got my PS1 back from sister and the AV multi out cable is broken.
Then I got my friend's cable and it worked, so I am replaying Final Fantasy V right now.
I also played Crash Team Racing for like an hour... I am so pro.
I finally got Fallout: New Vegas. So I've been running around Las Veges
I finished Lords of Shadows and decided to play some slightly more classic Castlevania with Symphony of the Night. Decided to make it interesting and I'm doing a 99 Luck run which has been quite challenging since you never realize how important your stats are until they are reduced to 0. It's been a fun run so far since Alucard is so fragile and has to rely heavily on equipment but the high drop rate from having 99 Luck (+ Lapis Lazuli that gives a +20 Luck) has allowed me to appreciate a lot of equipment I normally overlook.
Now i m playing Call of Duty III (modern warfare). Really it's amazing
game i have ever played in my life.
You need to broaden your horizons, kavin01.
I don't think there's any hope that bots will ever broaden their horizons. Really, it's not in their programming.
am i the only one who reads everything they type in a thick russian accent?
Been playing some Dawn of War 2 Chaos Rising. I'm enjoying it, though I probably should have obtained more Terminator armour in Dawn of War 2's original campaign as it seems I'm going to miss out on doing the space hulk in 4 suits of terminator armour which would be a purists approach to a space hulk. Will be interesting to see if they've done blow back on flamers in the space hulk since it was a pretty cool rule of the original table top game.
I am playing the Angry Birds space last level. This game is very interesting and also very funny and entertaining game. I am enjoying this game. I like all series in the Angry Birds game.
Angry Birds Space is neat. Only game I have on my phone. smurfing pigs.
Playing back through Illusions of Gaia. While the game suffers a bit from a fairly poor script, it's still great on a whole.
oh god illusion of gaia
i managed to kill jack and sylvana without being in freedan form after stumbling around mu for a good three hours as a child. i have NO idea how i pulled that off, much less got to the boss like that. that really may have been the worst dungeon in any game i've ever played
Illusion of Gaia is amazing. I may need to play that again sometime soon.
I'm working my way through Arkham City right now before diving too heavily into my other summer sale purchases. I'm enjoying it, though I think their attempts to make it more open world do result in the pacing suffering a bit.
Those vampires are a bitch as Will, but I've done it before.
I'm about to start into Ankor Watt, I remember that one being the hardest dungeon to complete, but I'll found out soon enough if I'm right.
I finished inFamous a few weeks ago. I was trophy hunting for a bit, and basically narrowed down the remaining trophies to the evil play-through.
I'm going to start Bio Shock in a few minutes I guess.

Just finished Arkham City (amazing, better than Asylum at every turn except story)
Gonna work on borderlands, GTA4, and Uncharted.
I just finished it as well and god the pacing was terrible with that story. And I liked how Catwoman was apparently only in the main story to (SPOILER)get captured by Poison Ivy, hung upside down for what was apparently several hours, break into a vault, then save Batman and disappear completely.
I'm hoping this stuff I get to play with her after the main story is good, otherwise having her at all was a complete waste and not much more than fan service judging by her neckline.
I picked up Skyrim in the worlds most assbackwards attempt to break myself of Fallout addiction. I'm calling Skyrim Methadone to Fallout's full blown heroin, because I like playing in Post-apocalypse scenarios a lot more than Fantasy settings. So now I'm maining Skyrim and occasionally jumping back into Fallout 3 to work for that Platinum trophy. Also playing a bit of a clever little platformer called Sideway. It deserves a look if only to check out the cool premise behind the level design.
Everything else I have been attempting to play is thwarted by ****ing Borderlands. That game is addicting!
There's just no other game where your character laughs maniacally while using a smg to mow down midgets while simultaneously lighting them on fire.
Loved the game till it reached the giant area, then I stopped playing and picked up asylum. Will probably do borderlands next, then finally finish XIII, then XIII-2, then GTA4 (if saints row 2 had trophies, it would 100% surpass gta imo) then the uncharted series, then persona 2 innocent sin redux, by then hopefully dawnguard will be on the psn.
PS: I am considering buying disgaea 3 absense of detention for ViTA, anyone know anything about the game?
Yes, do so. I actually wasn't interested in this game because I had three friends, including edczxcvbnm, that played this in front of me for MONTHS non stop. The game was overplayed for me. Enough time passes since I seen any of them play it, and I the Steam Sale price was too good to pass up! I have now converted!
F.E.A.R. 1 during the day; World of Warcraft at night; Dragon Age: Origins & Command & Conquer 3 on the backburner b/c of Fear. I also tried Splice and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit last night and hot damn they're both really great. The first in an emotional kind of way, the latter in a fratboy kind of way. Also just finished a short session of Black Ops.
I think Fear is really underrated for the contributions it made that were later taken by other games.
90 hours in to Xenoblade Chronicles and according to my glances at walkthroughs, I'm only about 50% done with it. It's humongous.
So I'm taking a break and giving the acclaimed Assassin's Creed 2 a try. Never played an AC game before. The controls take a bit of getting used to. I had to try that mission to race my brother like 15 times before I beat it.
Playing as South Africa in Victoria 2 I've united the entire African continent. Aside from that some New Vegas and a lot of Orcs Must Die! 2
FFIV :D
FFV
I am trying to find a job combination that is fun, useful and haven't been used by me before.
Well, I was playing Shining Force II, but I lost interest and went back to using MAME to play arcade games. I'm keeping Robotron, Joust, and Blaster in heavy rotation, but I have about 90 games for MAME total.
Dark Souls dark souls dark souls dark.... souls. Hooked. Seriously.
Red dead redemption. i jsut looooooove this game
Pokemon black.. :D jaaaj
P3P and P2P
Finished P3P at 4 this morning. going to do new game plus as a boy and try to max the links.
MLB 12: The Show.
Thats right. I like a bit of baseball. Big whoop, wanna fight about it?
Got a new graphics card a couple days ago and have since been enjoying New Vegas in shiny form, and have put a bit of time into Alan Wake as well, which was pretty good. I'm also now able to play Shogun 2 with larger than tiny units and everything! I'm feeling a Mountain Blade itch as well, so I expect that will be getting played shortly. Thanks to the Steam Sale I've got a fair few things I want to go through because I can actually play them now. ARMA 2 will need a proper look, for example.
I should be playing the PC release of FFVII that I purchased last night but, square has now decided it's not ready and deactivated the CD keys for it or some trout :mad2:
Currently playing through Suikoden Tactics at a snails pace, and to complement my one battle a week of this, I've been playing a fair bit of Bastion and Psychonauts. Having fun all round.
I tried the demo but that put me off for one reason completely unrelated to the gameplay: the demo only let you use the analog controls, and every tutorial it provided assumed you used the buttons. I had no idea what I was doing or how, and had no way to either change the controls or read tutorials for the ones I had. The whole experience was so ass backwards that I decided I'll only bother with the game when I can find a really cheap used copy somewhere.
Sooo much Victoria 2. As well as finishing up my KotOR playthrough.
End of Nations Beta!!! ...which has NDA, so I can't say much other than that. But Command & Conquer fans should check it out - it's Petroglyph, ex-Westwood, so this is kind of a big deal.
League of Legends, the F2P game where I still manage to spend money :(
Saints Row The Third. Being ridiculous is still fun.
Took a break from Borderlands today to do some extra stuff post Arkham City main story, continued my game in Skyrim, then messed around in Minecraft for a bit.
I wish I had the luxury of playing three games in one day. :(
I beat KoTOR so I have moved on to Morrowind!
Persona 4 Arena and loving every minute of it. Also a little bit of FFTactics: WotL on the side.
Quit P2 Innocent sin (hated it so much, how could it inspire a great game like P3?)
moving to dragon quest origins.
Just beat everyones story mode the other night.
I have a, most likely wrong, theory about (SPOILER)The Shadow that possesses Labrys for some of the stories. Though some of them end with a human doing it. But in regards to the Shadow, it knows that the cast of 3 held back a 'god'. Nyx wasnt' really a god though, not in the typical sense. But there were two people from 3 who called it that. Ikutski, who was killed, and Takaya, who made it out alive. Takaya was also familier with some of the Kirijo Groups activities, so part of me hopes that this is him. True, he is human, but that creatures speech reminded me a lot of him, so I'm hoping he somehow made the transition to this thing. :p
I've been sinking many hours into Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning--140 and counting, to be exact. It's a shame that 38 Studios collapsed due to financial mismanagement, because this game could have been a prelude to a great series. Anyway, I finished the Legend of Dead Kel DLC, so I'll be tackling the Teeth of Naros DLC next before I resume gallivanting through Klurikon.
I've also been mainly playing Halo: Reach and Gears of War 3 for my multiplayer fix. I just finishing getting all of the achievements in the former and ranked up to General Grade 1 last night. The latter can be frustrating to play at times; unless you have a competent and communicative team backing you up, you're going to have a bad time playing ranked matches, assuming you can even find enough people in ranked to begin with. However, no other shooter I've played can replicate the feeling you get when you blow an entire team to smithereens with a well-placed frag grenade or when you nab the win by dancing around your opponent with your Gnasher. Seriously 3.0 might come to me one of these days . . . maybe after my first year of medical school, at my current rate.
Soul Blade
IT IS SMURFING IMPOSSIBLE TO DO THE CRITICALEDGE MOVES!
Since we were talking so much in the Elder Scrolls thread about Oblivion, I decided to start again! also have been playing a fair amount of Counter Strike: Source in anticipation of Global Offensives release this month.
So you're getting it on PC I take it? I preordered it (why the hell not when it's $13?) and was playing a bit of the Beta earlier. Feels a lot different than CS:S. I'll need to get used to the changed weapons, molotovs/incendiary grenades are pretty awesome for controlling some space, and the movement feels faster. It's definitely a different game than CS:S even though all the parts are there, but I think it's probably for the best. Feels pretty fun to play so far and having a change from CS:S after so many years of playing it is a refreshing feeling.
Yeah a few guys on the server I plan on were talking about how it's different. They weren't in favor of the changes. I was gonna preorder it but then I said meh it's only a couple bucks more.
Yeah, thing about most people who are still playing CS:S at this point is that they wouldn't be happy unless it was CS:S with new levels, and then they'd still complain. The community reaction to CS:S was actually quite similar originally. I've played every iteration of CS starting from the early betas of the original though and I find this one quite enjoyable. Certainly a refreshing change after what? 8 years of CS:S?
Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I like source but I defiantly feel it could be made better. Hopefully GO will be that! Someone said it had more of a BF3/COD feel than Source. did you notice that at all?
It's certainly noticeably faster paced than CS:S, or at least it feels that way, and the levels have a lot more detail. I also think the character models look a bit more generic than they used to (except for the CT's anyway who always looked pretty generic) so maybe that's where some of that comes from. It's definitely still CS though. Brutal weapon spread, no iron sights, different movement speed with different weapons, slowing down a bit after jumping, etc. If you try to run and gun just like a COD game or something you won't get very far.
I'm bout to hop on this beta in a minute. Hit me up, same Steam name as EoFF name. I heard this was supposed to have the competitive edge and predictability of 1.6 combined with the polish and sheen of source. I can't wait to find out if it's true!
Beat FEAR 1 yesterday and booted up FEAR 2 today. Played bits and pieces of it here and there on PS3, but it's a marvel on my PC. Going back I really feel this game was an absolute masterpiece.
Beat Borderlands earlier today. I'm going to probably play the DLC next. Also been continuing my Skyrim file I started back when I got the game for Christmas. 40some hours in!
Finished Saint's Row The Third the other day so now I'm playing a little bit of Rage. It's not a bad game but it's not really that great either. Still, I love wingsticks.
Playing through Persona 4 again, and adore it as much as ever. <3
And if our scheduals would line up I'd be playing some Diablo 2 with Bert. :p
I have given up on Soul Blade kind of, so I am playing Aion again.
smurf, I was just informed TF2's co-op update is apparently today. CS: GO Beta and a new TF2 mode? Does Valve want me to get nothing done?
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. Easily my favourite entry in the franchise despite looking really old and having some seriously absurd level design.
KINGDOM HEARTS, FILL ME WITH THE POWER OF DARKNESS
Well, guys, it turns out that I'm not as bad at Halo: Reach MLG as I thought I was.
And while I'm tooting my own horn, I have two Perfections to my name on Sword Base and High Noon.
Today I had sex in both Dragon Age: Origins and F.E.A.R. 2 and I'm ashamed to say which one creeped me out and which one turned me on.
I gave up on Rage briefly. It's not entertaining me enough. I noticed that my platinum of Heavy Rain had gone missing so I went to play that again but oh man my smurfing PS3 is borked. I was playing a bit of Dark Souls too but it will have to wait until I can get it fixed or summat. So I'm back to Dead Island. Little bit more enjoyable now, and I played it a bit online which is nice. Friends are smurfing useful.
I finished Persona 4 Arena and it basically put me a mood to play Persona. So on my PSP, I'm playing Persona 2 Innocent Sin and loving every minute of it. I also hooked up my PS2 again and finally trying to do that perfect run on Persona 3: FES and get Orpheus Telos so I don't totally get hammered by the optional boss. Afterwards I plan to replay through Persona 4 which is overdue. I should also try to finish Persona 3 Portable soon as well...
Poor The Last Story it looks like you're going to be on hold for awhile...
I'm playing the following games:
Mass Effect 3 - Sometimes my insanity run but mostly this is my multiplayer baby at the moment.
Assassins Creed 2 - My main single player enjoyment so I can get through these games before buying 3 :)
Forza Motorsport 3 - I love racing games, I found it hilarious and at the same time pleasing that when I put the game on hard it's easy and if I put it on Advanced (no TCS no assists and manual gearbox) I'm still a serious racer. One of these days I am going to try Expert and see how I do when I got to manage the clutch too!
Finally got back into Shadows Of The Damned. It's a 5/10 game if I'm being kind. The swearing is over the top (I'm Irish so that says a lot) & the gore & "horror" elements aren't very intimidating or scary to be honest. There's about 4 levels left & I just want to finish it for the sake of it.
I Am Alive remains in the gaming wilderness for me but unlike FF13 I may actually bother finishing it
Started a new save on Fallout 3 out of utter boredom & despite having trashed this game a few times I'm actually kind of enjoying it. The female character with the black widow perk is seriously the way to go.
Between the 7th July & 19th of August I played through the entire Assassin's Creed series 1 through Revelations. I cannot wait for AC3 although I have Borderlands 2 pre ordered & I'm very tempted to impulse buy Sleeping Dogs.
World of Warcraft :(
And Morrowind, Vicky 2, and Sonic 3.
Just got a new, much larger tv and I've been trying to figure out what PS3 games I most want to play. Obviously some Dark Souls. Might run through Uncharted 3 again. But not too sure other than those. I'll probably finish Valkyria Chronicles too, but I've also got the urge to play Gran Turismo 5: Prologue of all things. Decisions, decisions.
Dead Space, Dead space 2.
Tomorrow I start my Ratchet and Clank complete run through, live on G4
Completed Final Fantasy V...again, most challenging final boss EVER.
Now I was thinking of replaying Chrono Trigger again.
I am still playing Aion NA, takes a lot of time away.
Went back to play some Endless Space last night. I could swear I put it on an easy setting, but the computer seems to disagree. One of my star systems was being invaded by a Pirate fleet with their little overall fleet power score being about 3,000. My best fleet? Around 1,100. Yup, I lost a lot of good ships there. And how about the guy I'm at war with who's already lost several star systems to me and is down to like 5-6? Throwing fleets with scores in the 1,500 range at me thank you very much. I think it's time to declare a cease fire, research a ton of weapons and other technologies which facilitate killing him, then go and kill him. Luckily I did research enough to get some new fleets into the 2,000 range in terms of power before I went to bed. It's a bit better than getting slaughtered in the first round of combat.
Unfortunately, I just became close allies with another race who decided to introduce me to that race that only tries to kill everyone else who was on the other side of the galaxy. And by on the other side, I mean they literally are the other side and one of my allies is almost dead. Why must you rub in the fact that I suck Endless Space?
Sleeping Dogs.
Guild Wars 2!
It's really not when this is better than any other MMO. The World vs World PvP is incredibly fun no matter your level. The world is huge and full of awesomeness. Random events going on all over the place all the time.
I have so many games I need to play now. If anyone sees me mentioning wanting to buy a new game, please remind me I still have 30 I haven't finished.
There are still games that aren't Final Fantasy XIV? Oh man. Forever and ever and ever.
