1. He uses his element of illusion to make copies of himself and of his opponents weapon (this explains why he wielded Soul Eater)
2. His weapon is a BOOK and he attacks with a flurry of pages or traps victims in it.

Um, I'm pretty sure I remember Wikipedia mentioning (with several sources, before) that Zexion's weapon is never revealed. Unless, this is new info from that Final Mix or something.

Well... In my opinion this whole "he wanted tyhis to be shrouded in mystery" bit is a little weird... I think Nomura just couldn't think of what Zexion's weapon might be...

I have reason to belive that this book has some manner of reality-bending ness to it as well.
As for WHAT it is, it's obviously some kind of textbook from looking at the scans. It has tons of text, it's nearly a foot thick, it has a few pictures, it's damn near ancient, and I would imagine it has boundless fathoms of information that zexion has collected as a nobody and as a human.
