FF VIII. I feel this games flaws have been explained enough.
Quest 64.
GBA port of Tales of Phantasia. Or at least, the worst game I actually own and have played more than five seconds of.
Tales of Legendia.
In Cold Blood.
I refuse to touch the game anymore. :mad2:
The controls = :(:(:(
Final Fantasy VII.
j/k
Unlimited Saga
then Final Fantasy VII.
Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain
:(
Bubsy 3D
Dark Fall. My mom got it back then for me as a present. So much for the matter of letting the experts choose.
Risk:Global Domination

Zelda 1
The ones that come to mind immediately is tied between Dark Arena and Ecks vs Sever on GBA. FPSes on GBA just didn't work very well.
Wow, a lot of you seem to limit yourselves to only the best games. If Final Fantasy VIII or Tales of Phantasia or Crystal Chronicles are somehow the worst games you've ever played, you need to play a LOT more games.
The worst game I've ever played is probably... E.T. for Atari. I bought it for $2.
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VI
Unlimited Saga. This game is so bad that it gives me nightmares...
Final Fantasy X-2.
Superman 64
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Although Final Fantasy XIII might end up beating THAT as the worst game of all time.
oh come on. even froma gameplay point it wasnt worth being a WORST game.
I'd probably second Superman 64... but I DID minor-ish-ish-ly enjoy it more than its newest game.
soooo~ Superman Flight Simulator.
ps: I suggest people progress a little before judging unlimited saga. it is fantastic.
KOTOR 2 was disappointing to say the least.
Dual Hearts for PS2....i watched my brother play for 5 mins and left because i hated it already...i think he threw the game out 10 mins after that...
The Fifth Element on the Playstation.
Chaos Legion for the Ps2.
It was teh crapz!
This or E.T. I really don't know which was worse--on the one hand, you could play Superman 64 without it becoming boring for about 30 seconds, which is something you can't say for E.T. But E.T. was on the Atari 2600, so they didn't have a lot to work with--the N64 was capable of so much more.
I liked Quest 64.... still wish I had my 64 to play it.
Hrm, I'll have to go with ET as well, and some other atari-age games.
Mega Man Network Transmission for the GC
:D An interesting choice, but maybe there are still games that are worse than FFVI. For example, some cheap-budget license cashing games (for example, the games made out of blockbuster movies, such as the games about the Matrix, Spider-Man, Batman Begins etc, or some LotR games, or some Star Wars games, and the list goes on). SMB1 and some Pokemon games could also get a nomination from me. Or some sex/porn games. South Park Mario isn't exactly a good game, either.
DBZ Ultimate battle 22 or alternatively DBZ Final Bout for the beat 'em ups
Both PS1 games...:(
Eternal Ring for the RPG's
A PS2 game...:(
Road Trip Adventure for the racing games
A PS2 game...:(
Kurushi for the puzzle games
A PS1 game...:(
Tomb raider 1 for the adventure games
A PS1 game...:(
Is it me or has a pattern emerged here?
I would say E.T. for the Atari but... I honestly feels it's one of those games that is so bad that when you play it with friends you can have a good time just ripping it apart...
My choice then goes to Spider-Man: Seperation Anxiety. A lousy Final Fight rip off with the worst ending in gaming history...
How could i of forgot the GTA series! They are all complete crap with the exception of San Andreas and even that only makes it to mediocre...
disaster report....it was interesting, but boring...odd combination i know.
'Alex Kidd in Hi Tech World' for the Sega Master System. Crap compared to the godly 'Alex Kidd in Miracle World', which is easily one of the best games ever created.
FFTA....
Final Fantasy X
Orphen (PS2)
Evil Zone (PS1)
Oni (PS2)
Can't think of any others. That's all I can remember from the top of my head.
Home Alone for the NES. That game sucked. >:|
Yes, I remember being such a Naive child, thinking that 3D Bubsy would be brilliant, after all Bubsy the Bobcat was great. I couldn't wait to get home and slide down the waterslides in 3D!
Probably the most traumatic event of my childhood, Bubsy 3D was. :(
Final fantasy IX, Final fantasy X-2, Glass rose and Biohazard (outbreak, file2).
I really regret spending my time on these.
I have an unhealthy love for "worst game" (and worse movie) threads .
It's much easier to avoid bad games nowadays. Those of us who went through the NES era rarely had average critic scores, gamefaqs.com reviews, or average user reviews from places like amazon and gamespot back then.
Anyway...
E.T. (Atari 2600)
Much like Duke Nukem Forever, there's no original jokes or humorous comments left to make about it.
Target:Renegade (NES)
Only played it briefly. A Double-Dragon clone with awful graphics and character designs.
Dungeon Magic (NES)
An obscure "you can only see in 4 directions" first person RPG. It had an atrociously high difficulty level and was virtually impossible to play without a FAQ/guide. I never played much of it, but it sticks out in my mind as being wretched.
The 3 Stooges (NES)
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (NES)
Don't remember much about these two, except that they sucked massively.
Ikari Warriors 2 (NES)
Awful graphics, dull, plodding gameplay, and a nearly impossible last boss (the rest of the game has 0 challenge due to unlimited use of the ABBA continue code, but that code only works 3 times against the last boss).
Dragon Quest/Warrior 1 (NES)
Okay, this is a gratuitous swipe at a game that's widely admired :D. It's not one of the worst games I've ever played, but it is the worst RPG (never had the "pleasure" of playing Hydlide though) and I rented it soon after its release in the US. I disliked it from the start, as the game hardly has anything apart from grinding in it. To this day I'm amazed that it spawned such a huge following. FF1 was responsible for my interest in RPGs, not this grind-a-thon.
More on the way as I remember them...
Oh believe me... DQ feels like smurfing Lord of the Rings in it's epic scope after you've spent some quality time with Hydlyde... I forgot to add this game to my list. Think of this game as the unholy spawn of Dragon Quest united with 8-bit Zelda. Now remove everything that made either game remotely fun. Add a random generated 30 letter code save system and abysmal leveling system and remove your ability to know what you are doing in combat and you basically have Hydlyde...
It is the worst RPG and the fact I've heard tale of their being a sequel on another system just sends shivers down my spine...
Dr. Jeckll & Mr. Hyde for NES.
that Grand Theft Auto on PS1
way too ugly
Parasite Eve II the controls were so horrible..
Then I would have to say Halo 2 as the second worse game I have ever played.
GTA San Andreas lolololol
Einhander.
Quest 64 and Superman 64 tie it up for 1st oh and there's this stupid Bruce Lee game for Xbox that I hate too.
Scrabble - PS2 haha (i got it free)
and on a more serious not, i would probably say Robot Wars for GBA now THAT sucked (went back to the shop a couple of days after :D )
Halo. :(
Nah, only joking. Not even Halo was as bad as Driver 1 and 2.
Driver 2 or 3 for me.
I read the title and FFII came to mind almost instantly.
TOCA Touring Cars for the PS1
Then Trap Runner for the PS1
Then Eve Of Extinction for PS2
And finally Janes Fleet Command for the PC
That Phantasy Star Online card game thing. Whoever thought that up must be living in a shed right about now.
Bishi Bashi Special...(I wished to commit suicide when playing this game)
Wario Ware...(I refer you to the above comment)
