Exclamation Point or Exclamation Mark
?
MArk
Mark all the way.
I don’t care. If I ever have to use the name of the symbol, I just use the first one I think of. It’s usually point (because that is how I was taught), but mark still springs up here and there.
Ekusurame-shon pointo! :S
Exclamation Point!
Those line dot things
A mark can have a point, but a point cannot have a mark.
That's a question mark.
Point.
Yes. It was denoting the presence of a question, as they tend to do.Quote:
That's a question mark.
WHAT!!!! Why is it a point! It is not a dot. D:
I do not really understand.
My name is Mark so... naturally exclamation mark
There is no debate. If you are referring to an Exclaimation , it's a point. :cat:
I've always said exclamation point. *shrugs* Meh, it's what works.
it's exclamation POINT
and question MARK
they can't both be mark, duh
ARACIEL has solve the debate.
My first instinct was to say point but the more I think about it...I don't know. I THINK that "point" comes out of my mouth more often. I think.
I've always been told it mark and i've always referred to it as a mark so meh...i'll carry on with this for the rest of time! :D
Dammit Yams, I was gonna say that.
And it's point, who says mark? Silly peoples. ^_^
Mark.
I say mark, but I don't actually know if that's the correct term. I'd say both are acceptable.
Little squiggly dot.
THAT is the correct term for it
:shoot:
i was always taught it to be exclamation mark
Exclamation mark !
Exclamation Mark, thank you very much
Exclamation mark!
Question mark, exclamation point.
Any who say otherwise will feel the wrath of the period.*

MY GOD! its neck and neck!!
Exclamation mark is just winning in the poll
I've never heard anyone ever say "exclamation point" in my life up till now. So I vote, mark.
IN YO FACE POINTS
EDIT:
Wait a sec, now I think about it, I cant tell. I think my brain confuses mark and point for the same thing, because I actually have no idea which it is, maybe I say both.... OMYGOD O____O
I don't think I've ever heard "exclamation mark" before.
Point. >:/
Mark. That's how I was taught. xD

You're all wrong. It's a Factorial.
You're factorial >o And almost half of you are deluded ^_-
Americans are taught it as exclamation point and everyone else mark.
Americans always have to be different :p I was taught Mark.
More like Exclamation Marick, amirite?
I've never heard of 'Exclamation Point'. I've always been taught 'Exclamation Mark'.
Mark also sounds better. xD
Point. =D
It just sounds better than mark..Exclamation mark? Nope, point it is. :D
This "!" is clearly an exclamation mark, however much I would prefer the alternative.
I believe it's pronounced "bang".
Say, Bri-dog, let's make like punctuation and !
A is a a letter, B is a letter.
1 is a number, 2 is a number.
It's very easy for them to both be marks.
That's what it is - a mark. Not a point. Even under the definition of "exclamation point" in America's dictionary.com it says mark repeatedly as an explanation as to what it is. A point is a small dot or square, such as a period. The exclamation mark has a point, but it is not a point itself. Just like I have a head, but that does not mean I am nothing but a head, nor does it mean I am a head. I am a human that has a head, just like the exclamation mark is a mark that has a point.
And there you go.
Duh it's ! (<- MarK (or Kram))
I've always said Mark. So there.
