Well, I guess for some of the games our mind can be put at ease. After all, generally only one sex is involved in cottaging...
That's why Zell was reluctant to let his other party members sleep in his room! He was nervous!
There's no other bed in his house, so Mama Dincht must also sleep with him.

It's kinda neat in FFIX how a character can hop into a tent in the middle of battle to restore health, and they're actually shown to be in a tent for the duration. It'd kind of suck for their teammates: "Oh hey, it's a Grand Dragon. BRB, nap tiem nao!"
