This year's competition promises to be bigger, badder, and more exciting than ever before! Many twists and surprises await those who choose to participate.

Last year we had a great and competitive event which led to the knighting of 2-time Highwind Award winner, Flying Mullet. And let me tell you something, he was NOT the staff favorite coming out of the gate. This should go to show that anyone can win and become a CK as long as they show the right effort and attitude. Take a page out of Mulley's book and apply, have some fun, and maybe you'll win!

Also this year there may be more than one winner. In addition to the grand prize (you become Eyeson's Next Cid's Knight, duh), there will also be other prizes awarded to all who apply. So come join in!

I had corrected the flaw in my calculations before you pointed out that I was off by an order of magnitude. This is why engineers use big giant calculators and complex software instead of a whiteboard and green marker.

It's only because we leave the 10s portion in multiples of 3 so we can convert to and from Metric prefixes.

Actually my time with Raistlin he taught me absolutely nothing, and I think that gives me a distinct edge in this fight.

Being entrusted with the duty to edit posts/threads and give people warnings; I never really considered how much hate you could possibly receive because you're the one doing those duties. For so long, I've been evading that hate by using the warn button letting the Staff sacrifice their image that the person being warned has for them. I don't think I could handle that much people hating me. I feel bad enough about people hating me for being secretive, so I can imagine how much more I'd be hated for being secretive and closing threads and editing posts.

Also, I'm probably too paranoid and harsh of a person to be a CK in the first place. I'd get kicked off the job because of how much I warn people's posts because of how deeply I read into them. Even if I was to contact another CK to ask if a post is warnworthy, that pretty much defeats the purpose of me being a CK. I'm too serious as it is, so if I was to become a CK, EoFF would no longer be able to see my happy side anymore...

I might read a few of the confessionals (it's nice to know what EoFFers are sincerely thinking every now and then), but other than that, I don't think I want anything to do with this CK Competition.

Nah, it's more of that we honestly have no clue who will win. We haven't even really discussed it, although a few mods have mentioned their favourites (or 'dark horse candidates') in the staff forum. I can think of at least 10 people who are in with a shout. Obviously, I want all ten to apply. :p

I love how the first time we did this so many people said it was for an April Fools joke and didn't care. Then it turned out it wasn't and Flying Mullet won. Now this time people are saying the whole thing is rigged so they don't want to play. Learn what happened from last time. We can make it simple. If you want to be a CK apply and see what happens. Those of you who aren't applying because you think you'll never win won't win because you won't let yourself get past round 1.
