Hallo contestants. I have a surprise for you, kind of.

Firstly, thread creation in this forum is moderated, so don't bother unless it's super cool.

Secondly, there are no teams or confessionals or any of that other bull:bou::bou::bou::bou:. There will be no thirty-five smurfing journals to be read. This is a free-for-all with this forum as it's base, and that's it.

Thirdly, the forums staff holds all the voting power. We may smite you at will. Tremble.

Fourthly, this competition has one rule that applies through the duration of the competition and can get you eliminated at any time: Once a newbie thread has been posted, each contestant has 36 hours to welcome that newbie. Any competitor caught not welcoming a newbie within 36 hours will be immediately eliminated. This applies to any newbie thread posted after this thread is submitted.

Fifthly, this is a high-paced competition. If you don't plan on being here every day, plan to come back and find your name crossed off the list. This isn't some cute and fluffy game, this is our forum, this is our home, this is our life.*

Also, I don't like the way you have phrased this as a "Free-for-all". This is supposed to be a competition, yes, but we aren't just fighting eachother. We are supposed to work together to find the best out of all of us, which is why I liked round two last time, where we split into teams to rate the members of the other teams.

I don't like the look of this first task. We shouldn't be picked based on our creative skills, we should be picked based on our people skills, and leadership skills, and our ability to follow the rules. This first task doesn't seem to have anything like that, unless you are trying to see what the members look for in a Cid's Knight, but if that's the case it would have been much, much better to just ask that direct question.

To be fair, they may say that the least best will be eliminated, but that can be complete BS to make us work hard. You missed the sign up, you're pissed, we understand, but Shlup is trying the her best and none of us (but one lucky one) will find out how the victor was really decided. If it makes you feel any better, I still love you.

I certainly don't know what they talk about in the Site Staff forum, but I'm looking at it as a test of effort. It's easy to just make stick figures in MS Paint or slap together what's technically a haiku. Maybe they want to see who actually tried.

Or maybe it's just for fun.

Psy also follows the rules(Most of the time). So Psy Follows the rules, people are comfortable with him, he is trustworthy, respectable, and I love him. Sounds like a perfect mod to me.

But then there is Del, a much more serious person(but still with a sense of humor). He also follows the rules, and he is also trusworthy, comforting, respectable, and lovable.

Being constantly funny and jokey are fun, but thats not all people skills are. People need to be helpful, and strong, and nice as well.

I'm not saying you are doing a bad job, and I don't know how this first task is really going to go, I just don't like the look of it, and decided to post how I didn't like it. How is this wrong?

No, welcoming members shows that we care that they joined our forum in the first place. In doing this, it also shows that we actually do remotely care that they choose to join our forum and not another down the road.

Also, if a person doesn't even have 10 secs to welcome a new member then I hardly doubt they have the time to actually moderate a forum 100% such as this.
