EoFF Ranks Final Fantasy 2015! Voting Commence!

Greetings Nerds and Nerdettes!

Nominations have been closed and the competition is upon us! All of the nominations have been received and a tournament has been set up for Final Fantasy to FIGHT TO THE DEATH!

Here is the full tournament listing!

Once a day there were be a poll within General Final Fantasy in order to vote who is the best! Game with the most votes wins~ Threads will stay open for an extra day after voting and then they will be closed to cut down on clutter, and to allow time for wound licking.. In the event of a draw the nomination leader will progress to the next stage.

Look out for the Daily threads and vote for which game you think is best!

Pretty much. Everything was given a "Seed" number based on nominations before random generating, and then I used that number as my ground for the Random Number Generator. So FFIV had like 7 or something like that and it was the first number picked so it went in slot 1, and Tactics had like 12 and was the second number and it went second.

The bottom half of the left bracket "Aka Niche-ville" was totally random. I was also kinda surprised xD

I suppose it all depends on who votes on the day. Each poll will only be open for 24 hours so... who knows!

No Final Fantasy XIII-2? I knew I should've voted for XIII-2 aswell.

First entry to bite the dust was Final Fantasy Tactics. Final Fantasy IV advances to round 2.

Next up - Final Fantasy XI vs Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Place your bets~

Round 1.3 will be up a bit late because I'll be movie going~

Tactics got a tough seed. It's one of the best but FFIV is much loved by many.

I thought Tactics was going to win at first because of all the people I've seen on here talk about how it's the best.

Guess I underestimated IV's following on here.

X-2 winning was quite the upset it seems!

Looking ahead...if it takes place...VI vs X will be quite intense and IX vs XII will be rather interesting.

On your image in the OP, Matt, FFV looks like it lost to FFII going by the red lines.

That's the second time he's done that. xD I should start proof drawing.

9 and 12 will be going against one another and I don't know what i'm going to do about this because those are my two favorites. ;_; Then whichever one wins that has to go against theartrhythm :( My other favorite :(

I'm not going to have to worry about my two favourites going up against each other :P

The next two matchups - XII vs. IX and VI vs VIII - are certainly going to be interesting. All four are loved at EoFF by different groups of people.

Group Three: IX vs. XII, also featuring Cannon Fodder
Group Four: The Interesting One

I'm guessing VII will win, but IX is my favourite so I'm obviously rooting for that one :D

I don't think many people expected Vivi to win Best Character in the FF Ciddies, so you never know! These little tournies are great because often people will get surprised. The dead heat between some earlier games shows that more people care for other games than you'd think, and often people make assumptions based on a vocal few at EoFF.

With X-2 vs IX coming up, I think it is safe to say that it is the end of the line for the Gullwings.

Going by the current results, X will easily win against Bartz and co. in the current poll but my, it sure has a tough road ahead...first against VI and if it wins that it goes up against IX. I will be voting for Yuna and her guardians in both cases; I hope they manage to pull ahead.

As amusing as it would be to see X and X-2 pitted against each other, both are going to have a hard fought match ahead of them for sure. FFVI is the last remaining 16 bit retro game in the tournament while X has had a sudden spike in popularity ever since the release of the HD port. It should be a good contest.

My predictions going into the next round are VII over XIV, IX over X-2, and VI may very well get the best out of X. The only one I'm not sure on how it's going to turn out is Crystal Chronicles vs. Tactics Advance 2.

I think X-2 stands a fair chance against IX. They're both good games

So whens round 3 starting? (what time)

I think Matt said he would be away for a day or two so the next round wouldn't start right away.

With the exception of XII losing to IX, I think things are on the right track so far...

I'll be taking a break tomorrow as it allows me to corrctly get the next two brackets ready. The 3rd place bracket starts on Saturday night lasting for 2 days. and the finals start on Monday Night and will last for 3 whole days.
