I was posting in my perfect moments thread and I happened to realize something . . . why do people compare romantic involvement with baseball.
Random idiot - How far did you get?!
Another completely hopeless loser - Second base, oh yeah.
Here's another question. Why baseball? Why not football, basketball, tennis . . .

In baseball, there are three bases. It's like... um in romantic terms. There are three "bases"
First base - Holding hands
Second base - Kissing
Third base - Making out
Home Run - Sex
Strike Out - Dumped xD
Other sports just doesn't work. Well, maybe football may work, but what about the other stages of romance? There's only first downs, touch downs, and maybe a field goal in football, but it won't fit in with the romance. Doesn't work.
EDIT: Just another reason why baseball is the superior sport.
Cricket could probably work. But Baseball has been used for so long, anything else is just weird.
Another reason why Euphemisms are bad, mm'kay?
I guess in cricket you could use single, double, triple, four...

I obviously dont know anything about baseball or american football because nobody outside of america plays those sports seriously. although there are some things in football (or soccer to you secluded people of america) that could be turing into something like that, goals, penaltys, substitutes, golden goal. all have the possiblity of being turned into something stupid.

This talk about sex and baseball reminds me of a video clip that was circulating the web for a while where a couple was up in the nosebleeds at a baseball game and didn't think anyone was watching and did a little dirty. Luckily for them the Jumbotron operator and/or camera man didn't see them.
