Dancing Mad. One Winged Angel was good, but it just couldnt compare... DM gave me chills even on the non-cd sound.
I personally like OWA better. And since I am omniscient, OWA is the correct answer to this opinion question.
Dancing Mad Homes.
OWA is easier to listen to outside of the game, probably due to it not being so lengthy, otherwise they're both just as good as each other in their respective games :p
Can you name any other RPG villain with an eighteen-minute-long final boss theme?
Well, if you mix four songs together and make them all loop like 2-3 times, it won't be too hard to make as long a final battle theme. FF8's four final battle themes together are almost 23 minutes. In addition, you won't even get to hear all 18 minutes of Dancing Mad during FF6's final battle unless you delay the battles because each form takes about 2 minutes to beat.Quote:

And I prefer One-Winged Angel to Dancing Mad.
Dancing Mad, for sure. It's such a contrast to Kefka's theme music throughout the story, and it really fits with the dark environment the final battle takes place in. The fact that it changes as you climb (which I didn't notice until someone pointed it out to me) is pretty cool, too, within the game.
There's also the fact the final stage of Dancing Mad includes Kefka's signature laugh. Wopwopwopwopwop!
Hail to the madness of the dancing! All VI music is superior to all else by sheer definition! well... some could be better, but Dancing Mad is the icing on a wonderous soundtrack cake
Anyone who doesn't pick Dancing Mad is guilty of inferior taste in villains.

And I love that song even more now, that I've listened to the Black Mages' version.
The black mage version? what is this?
(oh, anyone know what that little chocobo face: :choc: under all our posts means?)
if the chocobo is yellow, the user is online. if it's gray, they're offline.
black mages is a recent set that features rock 'n' roll-tinged versions of final fantasy tracks. you can probably find it on ebay or something
owa... its so coool!!!
OWA is the best!
"One-Winged Angel" is far and away the best final boss song ever composed.
Yes it is! I was happy to hear it in KH, made that battle an epic.
One Winged Angel, great song for a nice battle. I think Dancing Mad also is good, but it's getting annoying after a while. One Winged Angel not
One Winged Angel is cool because it has latin lyrics...which I have memorised...I'm a very sad person...
I also have OWA memorized, but NOTHING compares to Kefka's Dancing Mad. It's utterly amazing, especially the orchestrated version.
*Rushes off to listen*
damn, that is a tough one. One Winged Angel is more catchy, but if they made an Orchestral Version of Dancing Mad, I would say that it would be better. However, Seymour's battle theme kicks ass too!
hey had a battle theme? geez...
I dunno, I thought the music when you fight the last form of Ultimecia (ff8) was awesome. :p
Dancin Mad all the way.
One Winged Angel, although it was a tough decision as Dancing Mad was also one of my favorites. But One Winged Angel truly showed Sephiroth's true nature, being a very good Final Boss theme.
who are you callin sad, i know the lyrics 2 owa aswell, along with suteki da ne, 1000 words, english and japanese. . . dam i am sad.
(starts crying)
I enjoyed FFVI's music over FFVII's, so I'm going with Dancing Mad! :D
one winged angel is a very good tune and the AC version of it is really something. it seems more full than DM but dancing mad wins it for me.
i'd heard it on FFO before but when it came up to kefka himself, it sounded amazing.
i just think in general, dancing mad is a better tune. one winged angel never interested me that much.
and its not just the fast paced bit at the end. i like it all.
One Winged Angel deffinately, I'm in the process of learning it rearranged for guitar...too bad its insanely difficult
