I'm dunno if you already knew this but I just figured it out.

What did I figure out? Well i just worked out that you will never see a real time mickey mouse in any of the kingdom hearts games ever? why? because of his ears.
My Art teacher used to work for disney (or so she says) and pointed out that in every picture of mickey mouse (and minnie) the ears are pointing towards you, even when hes to the side (do a google search). Thats why he wont be there and thats why in the first game you couldn't rotate the minnie mouse modle.
Sorry if you already knew, but I just figured it out.

That explains why minnie looked so unnatural

I always noticed that Mickey's ears were weird. Even in a profile view, Mickey's ears are still equally spaced as if it was a portrait. Maybe a little rotated but still the same space.

Thats scary

They could probably fix that with new technology, though... that is weird though.

The world makes more sense now. I can't believe after 18 years of seeing Mickey I never noticed that. I can live life better knowing that now. :D

I gather that he means you will never see Mickey in an event where the characters are free to move around, because if you rotate the camera around him the ears will stay the same.

I still don't see why it can't happen. After all, it DOES happen (SPOILER) during the ending . Anyway, he's confirmed to be in KH2.

I don't see the big deal here, they just made their "ears" face the camera at all times, Mickey's only in one part of a scene, and you barely see him, so why waste the time creating his ears if no one's gona care anyways?

Including Kingdom Hearts II and Deep Dive, Mickey has appeared in three scenes. The first, where it just shows his silhouette and he barely moves at the end of KH. His flipping down onto the top of the building in Deep Dive. While he moves, it's more of a blur, and once he lands he stops moving. His ears are hidden under the hood anyways. And in the trailer of KHII it shows Mickey flipping down, beating the crap out of those white heartless thingies like Yoda in Ep. II, once again, in a blur, and then he lands and basically stops moving. His ears are also under his cloak for this as well.

So far, I think they've done a good job avoiding it. However, I think they'll be able to break this habit if they want to make him important in KHII.

I feel like my life is crumbling! Well not, but it's still very interesting cause it makes completely sense. Hmm...

I was flipping through the channels today and that house of mouse thing was on - and yes, when he rotates his head, the ears don't move. It's a little weird to actually watch, but I had never noticed it before.

what do you mean by doll? because there are heaps of toys that you can get of him.
here's one.

They could easily make it so that the ears always face the "camera" in video games. It's just a matter of proper manipulation.
However, if the game showed a "bird's eye" view of Micky, and his ears faced the camera, that would look ****ed up :lol:.
