Adopt a Newbie Program

Ok, let's say that you can adopt a newbie. What you do with your newbie really depends on you. You can teach your newbie the basics of EoFF, you can make friends with your newbie, or you could simply do nothing but say that you claimed the newbie as yours. Simply put, you adopted the newbie so they would likely have someone to look up to ask questions regarding how things could work.

Now who would be eligible to adopt a newbie? Well, pretty much anyone who's not a newbie. However, there's going to be a catch, one must not adopt more than one newbie at a time. xD

Yeah, so let's see how this is going to work.

And newbs, feel free to come here if you want to get adopted by your friendly EoFFers. :)

Just as a point of reference, anyone who actually does need to know the ropes of these forums might want to check up on the FAQ which answer a great deal of the questions that most have when they first arrive. Otherwise, there are always a great many members around who can answer other questions, or mentor you, as Proto is attempting to organize.

I say that anyone who registered within the last few weeks are classified as newbies, and anyone else who has been a member since... April Fools, are members who can adopt.

I'll have to gather the info, and I'll get around to that later tonight, when I have more time. To help me out, for those who have adopted a newbie, please tell me who you adopted. (To be classified a newbie, I've made the date be April 1st. Anyone registered on and after that date is a "newbie" that can be adopted. Anyone registered before April 1st, is a member that can adopt a "newbie." I will not accept those who adopted a "non-newbie".)

Maybe they even turn on their computers that often. I consider a newb to be anyone who still gets confused about a LOT of things. I get confused about SOME things, but not a LOT of things, so even if I had only been here since April 1st, I technically wouldn't be a newb anyway.

I argue this here only because I know Leeza would shut me down if I tried to make another adoptee thread with rules that were more lenient than yours.

You can argue it all you want, Mercen_X, but this is Proto's Unofficial EoFF thing happening here and I guess he can say who he thinks is a newbie. Oh, and yes, you are still a newb in my book. :)

Newbie is clearly a figure of speech. However, I'm going to use it in terms of how long they've been a member. While the Ciddies recognize newbies as members who've been registered for less than three months, I'm shortening that to a month, so anyone who registered within the month of April is a newbie that can be adopted, purely for fun.

According to your rules, I have no idea what's going on. :chuckle: I'm not a newb and I really don't know who is. I don't think I want to start inquiring about that but, oh well. :D Viva la subverjeuns!

Well, by your standards, I am considered a "newbie", as I joined about a week ago, yet I have been on other forums, and I am not exactly clueless ^_^

So, unfortunately I will not be up for addoption xD
And as I have none of the requirements for a "newbie adopter", will will not be adopting inevitably...
