Funniest thing a parent of yours has said.

Our parents say humorous things sometimes, as they are quite witty. What are some funny things your parents have said before?

My father manages to make me laugh quite a bit of the time, but I can only recall a conversation I had with him just a few minutes ago off the top of my head.

Tomorrow at school is "Blast from the Past" day, and we're supposed to dress up like any person from the past.

Me: "I think I'll dress up as a hippy tomorrow."

Mom: "That's a good idea! You could find that old bandana and a tye-dye shirt!"

Me: "I didn't think of the bandana! That's a good idea!

Father: "Why don't you just get a white robe and say you're Jesus Christ?"

So, what funny things have YOUR parents said lately?

Mama told me that life is like a box o chocolate. You never know what you gonna get next.

My Dad snores and sometimes he speaks in his sleep and one time I heard him say..."they're coming..." >_>!

My Mom lately has been spending most of her time duing school work she is a teacher. So she started a newspaper for her class and the title she gave it was "WHATS CRACALACKING IN FIRST GRADE!" it was pretty funny and her imitations of her students are funny, too.

My Dad always tells the same corny jokes over and over again we always make fun of him for it. One of his favs is

dad:whats a pirates favorite letter.....

Other people: i dunno

dad: Its RRRRRRRRRRRGHH!

and heres another one...

Dad: whay are pirates so mean?

people: i dunno

Dad: cuz they just AAAAAAARRRGHH!

he's got more but i like those the best cuz pirates are the best!

My mom argued with my saying that there were 8 days in a week when she was studying Chemistry. She referred to the famous Beatles song, and also tried backing it up with the argument that since compounds need 8 valence electrons to be stable, a week needs 8 days to be stable. 7 days would make a week unstable.

I find my parents both highly amusing, so I'll just mention a couple of things they've said recently that made me laugh. My dad talking about Melanie Sykes: "She apparently wrote a book about how to be beautiful. Like she'd know. It contains one page, that says: "Could someone please tell me?" His thoughts on Michael Parkinson: "Anybody who thinks Michael Parkinson is handsome, has lost all sense of reasoning, logic, perspective, an vision." My mum is talking to a gay man on the bus. He tells her he's just come out of prison. She says: "Were you gay before, or after you'd slipped on the soap?" Her brother's girlfreind, tells her he's that hairy, she needs to change the sheets twice a week. She says: "It's a full moon tonight, your sheets will need changing". She then sends me a text message saying: "what a laugh, an what a beast".

While I was looking for an old video tape

"Jess, not that one! That's your Mother and I's homemade pornography!"

Well, not as funny as it was mindscarringly horrible. ;__;

All the drugs voided my parents from ever saying anything humorous.

The funniest thing my mom said was something along the lines of giraffes having one eye. She was dead serious too. She was playing a trivia game when she said that, and then said "I thought it was a trick question!" :lol: My mom makes me laugh. :D

Our family is near middle class in the scale of society.

Anyway, we were driving through a really rich and posh housing estate place. We drove past this really big and ugly house.

My mum said: that to me says that "Im a selfish w*nker"

Im sure that isn't the funniest thing, but thats the only one that I can remember right now.

My parents went out of town a few days before my 18th birthday, so I decided to throw a huge party. When they got back and saw what happened to the house.

I don't know why, but I found that line to be quite humorous.

A few steps away from the house my husband used to live in, there's a park bordered by "sculptures" of large cement balls.

My mother and I went to the new movie theatre downtown to see that the courtyard was decorated with similar balls. My mother notices and comments, "Those are bigger than BJ's balls!"

I'm still iffy on whether or not she knew what she was saying. She's like that.

my parents are died so they can't say funny things. Haha jk, of course they can say funny things.:love:

My Mum sometimes gets the letters of her words mixed up. For example, instead of saying "can you shut the gate", it would come out as "can you gut the shate". She usually realises before she's about to say something ridiculous like that ... but sometimes her mind seems to give up on her. :p

One night when I was young, I was being particularly obnoxious, so my mom threatens me with "I'm gonna shnock the obnaxiousness out of you!"

"Look! It's an angel of God!"

Technically she isn't wrong, the week is a man made construction there are Cycles which we call days but no weeks or even really no years they are just phases of the earths orbit we gave them names, the roman empire for example had a ten day week but it was the babylonians that gave us the seven day week.

You know thats quite funny for anyone but you but since it was you then that is actually the most screwed up thing here.

As for my mom (since my dad is dead) she sometimes comes out with funny things but always at my expense never at anyone elses so everyone gets to laugh but me.

Father - WTF? DIDN'T YOU LISTEN YOUR MOM! CLEAN YOUR ROOM
Me - I'm going... I'm going!
Father - What? Are you talking to me like that? Today you own't go to the computer!
Me - Tch fine whatever *goes to my room and shut the door*

A few minutes later

Father - Have you cleaned your room?
Me - Yes I did...
Father - Why the hell are you looking at me like that? Tomarrow no computer!
Me - What?
Father - You are complaining? Monday with no computer!
Mother - Come on leave her alone we have to go shopping!

One hour later

Father *talking to me* - Sweetit, sweetie do you want to go to the computer?
Mom - WHAT' you just told her she couldn't go to the computer!
Father - I know but I can't be mad at her!

Your father calls you that? Yikes!

I don't know my father and my mother died almost six years ago. Neither of them say many funny things nowadays.

:hahaha: If your mother is right, my family is doomed. If we see a poster for Jesus Christ Superstar, at least one of us will usually sing: "Jesus Christ superstar likes to wear a wonderbra." :sing:
