Has anyone here heard of the punk/emo band hawthorne heights, and if so what do you think?
Hello I hear about them all the time in the Lounge.
I hear that their hearts are in Ohio and really that's about it
oh I also hear they're terrible
They suck. Whiny, emo, and annoying.
They have some good riffs. "Cross Me Off Your List" has some good ones. They are okay though.
Yeah, I used to bum rides off a friend who listened to them all the time back in high school. They're pretty atrocious.
They're not emo. And I think they are pretty cool. I used to listen to them. Haven't heard much of their newer stuff.
That Heathcliff sure is a dream.
I've heard there stuff, I'm not really a huge fan of them or the genre of music they play.

I loathe them
I love them. Some of their older stuff leaves a little top be desired but most of their new stuff is great. But FYI... I don't think they're really emo.

Actually they consider themselves to be alternative rock/pop punk.

Please, explain to me, how those lyrics are "emo". Because you can find those types of "emo" lyrics in just about any metal, country, rap or rock band out there.
How can you not see how those lyrics are emo?

As well as like every single line in those lyrics. I don't know how to explain it any further, its pretty much common sense to recognize what is emo and whiny and what is good.
I would say they're pretty emo. I don't like them very much. That's just my personal opinion though, don't eat me. xD.
Way to sterotype. I'm not even going to argue. If thats "emo" then bands like metallica (who have songs about suicide) must be emo too, right? Get over it, if you want emo check out the bands that I listed. Those are emo.Quote:
