smurfing Housemates
I'm just about at my wit's end with my current living arrangement - the guy leaves the place a mess all the time, doesn't clean up after himself, I have to pressure him to get rent/bill money, doesn't ask before using stuff I own or ask if I mind that his girlfriend is moving in with us (again). If I could afford to move out I'd leave in a heartbeat right now.

I hate them. I did it once, and never again. Towards the end, I wanted to seriously stab someone in the eye with a straw. It's just not worth it.
I guess I got really fortunate as the people I lived with before were all nice and friendly, largely kept themselves to themselves - helped out with everything and were generally polite/courteous and - above all - fun to be around.Originally Posted by Chris

I had partier roommates. Sometimes they had nights off during the week, so we would have parties during the week. Two times a week was a minimum. If I didn't stay the night at home, I'd come home and find people (couples) in my bed.
That was awesome.
I live with a girl who last year bullied me relentlessly and is an absolute bitch. Is unclean, is rude and passive aggressive to boot.
One day I snapped and told her what I think of her, and that she should go smurf herself. The look on her face was priceless and now she leaves me alone.
Despite us not interacting with each other, it would be nice to not have to share a roof with that fanny, but eh, finances do not allow. I'm moving out in 9 months though!!
Guy rented room.
Was on welfare.
Guy kept to his room.
Guy became less and less of a presence in the house.
Stuff goes missing including 300.00 watch, bottle of vodka, various food items and ALL of my ps3 games.
Guy leaves huuuuge trouts in the toilet and doesn't flush.
Last straw
We leave a note on the door: Will - tell us when you wanna come pick up your trout.
Changed locks.
His mom calls 'I can't keep him at my house'
WTF mom, can't have your son sleep on the couch a while?! Sketchy.
Mom says they'll pick up his stuff on a tuesday.
We get wasted then decide to go through his room... combined value of dude's belongings? -$15.00
found empty wrappers of lost food items
found trunk full of cheap porn including mags like '40 and smurfed' and a dvd that was a picture with a cell phone number on it....wtf
desk drawer full of cigarette butts collected from the ground.
random stains from bongwater in carpet.

Tuesday comes and it's raining, mom asks if they can move his stuff another day.
me: come get it or it's going to the dump.
The end.
Lived with a dude who charged me crap tons for a room and a bathroom. Told me my bathroom was the communal bathroom and refused to let anyone use his bathroom. Refused to let me move out initially. His gf basically lived there and used stuff from my bathroom and her friends used my room for god knows what. One of his friends got wasted and was grabby and he told me to be quiet about it. Thats when i moved out. While he was at a gym. And left a note saying i'm in lack of money purgatory.

Most of the housemates are pretty cool, and then there's a young couple couple living in the basement. They're messy, and sometimes when I'm eating, I could hear them shouting and stuff. Usual couples type of crap. I just leave them be since the basement is considered off limit to me.The others, I can get along with fine. In fact, I get along with each of them quite well. No big problems to be had.
Apparently, I have been declared banished.
I hate my housemates, they're absolutely revolting. That and they wake me up early every single morning and I don't appreciate early wake-ups. They're inconsiderate, selfish and arrogant. I generally keep myself to myself now. I live in a house of 7, though, and some are okay and I'm indifferent to them, but it's just the mess I can't stand; the kitchen is a biohazard. What's most annoying is I'm one of the only ones in the house with a job aswell as doing a degree, so tonight for example, I've just finished an 8 hour shift whilst they've all sat around, not doing the kitchen. That really grates.

my roommate in the US just had his clothes smurfing everywhere but he was a great guy so it all balanced out
The only people I've lived with, aside from family, have been awesome. I sort of feel bad whenever I hear flatmate horror stories because I don't have a bad word to say about the experience. xD
I'm always smurfing my housemate.
My previous roommate was a piece of trout who ended up disappearing after owing me, the landlord and the energy company a bunch of money.
Right now I live in a very comfortable arrangement. Living in a great apartment, getting along with all my flatmates. We cook and have dinner together most days of the week and we go out on trips together. Don't think I could've asked for a better deal (well except for also smurfing the girls living here. That would be the ultimate package).
This twenty-year-old boy was distinguished from childhood by strange qualities, a dreamer and an eccentric. A girl fell in love with him, and he went and sold her to a brothel...
I've had one room mate situation with a guy where I didn't want to kill him for his poor living habits and we still ended up having drama.
I lived by myself for a year between room mates and I still look at it very fondly despite all the depression and insanity I dealt with otherwise.
I now live with my girlfriend who is a fantastic room mate because we actually have the same standards of cleanliness. It's nice to live with someone I actually click with.
I don't think I'd ever live with a guy again ever though. I'm not sure I'd even want my children to be males after my experiences.
