Remember that this is a team game. The point is not to stay alive. The point is to get all of the opposite team to die. The cops are the ones who should be driving this game. If a cop finds a mafia, one of them should flat out state 'I am the cop, and ____ is Mafia'. Either the town believes you and you're down one mafia, or they don't and kill you, find out you are a cop and were telling the truth, and get the mafia the next round. This puts a target on the cop's back but if the doctor is still around the cop should not be in danger once they are revealed.
I hope you guys kill all the mafia because that means I still win.
