I'd tell lepper jokes. People always seem to be shocked when you joke about your own illnesses.

My uncle had CF when it was all deathly and stuff, and he had a coughing fit in a restaurant once. The waitress said something along the lines of "Ooh eee, that's a bad cough!" (Geordie accent please), to which he replied "Yeah, it'll be the death of me." The family was shocked, but I find it hilarious.
