Now, now, for all the crap we give the internet, it's all in good fun, we hope. But really, if you had ever tried to draw the parallels, it's quite disturbing to see just how much it is like life. You have to talk to people, you have to interact. In certain games, you just might have to cooperate for the sake of victory.
Life is a lot like that connection of tubes that we so know and hold dear to us, perhaps more than itself. But social contact is the necessity of any human being; we can't just be an island for the rest of our life. We need someone else to tell us "well, I don't think you should do that." Is there something in the internet that we might speak without fear or retribution?
Maybe, just maybe, we might be able to take what we learned, and apply it on life. But for now, we'll settle for that blip on the screen, some random name and numbers, and send packets of bits and data, back and forth, and have a jolly good time doing it.
