Why does cait sith have an Irish accent?
Why does cait sith have an Irish accent?
Because talking cats come from Ireland, duh
jkhkjg
That makes sense. Square is well known for having those sorts of strange references.
Cait Sith having an Irish accent is the best part of an otherwise mediocre game.
"... and so I close, realizing that perhaps the ending has not yet been written."
I quite liked him having a vaguely Gaelic accent, as it goes with the name.
It also ties in well with the Reeve/Cait Sith contrast. Reeve's always articulate and precise in his language - ever the businessman, while Cait Sith sounds a lot more brash, rural and even a little rustic. It's not too inconsistent with the English translation of the game, either. Obviously we never get to hear his voice there, but the text increasingly suggests a 'parochial' accent, albeit tinged with more American overtones rather than Irish/Scottish.
NB: I'm obviously not saying all Gaelic peoples are inherently rustic and uncultured. Cait Sith's accent clearly isn't a typical Irish accent; they've used (whether consciously or unconsciously) a more isolated regional accent with lots of colloquial dialogue.
Because he's awesome.
I thought he sounded like some one from scotland, Idon't find it Irish,

Well, he's not. They're very different accents. You probably just don't hear either of them often enough to notice a difference.
Does anyone actually enjoy hearing his voice? I find it to be highly irritating
I would love to be happy, but unfortunately I'm too busy being awesome and kicking your ass at everything
im actually quite alright with his voice.
