i dont feel like waking up early to see it but ive seen pleanty of shooting stars in my time. the other day i saw one probably the best one ive ever seen too.
i use to sleep out on my trampoline in the summer when i was young and i would look up at the sky and could see them every once in awhile.

I believe it said it would be best from 1am - 4am EST but will be able to be seen in the scope of 11pm - 7am EST.
I was hit in the face by a meteor once. It gave me super powers, or something.

I might give it a go. I don't think I've ever seen a meteor shower. I've seen a comet though.

over the summer I went to the drive in theater with a few friends and instead of watching HPatOotP for a second time, I was paying more attention to the starry blanket above me..and I witnessed several shooting stars =] it was an amazing experience...and I felt so small and insignificant under that sky, but at the same time...I was quite glad to exist because I got to witness such a show of nature at its finest
