Well, since I listen to only one form of music, I listen to the same stuff regardless of whether I'm drunk, depressed, super happy, or p'ed off.

As for songs I listen to when I'm depressed, I'd have to go with Pantera's "Cemetery Gates", or perhaps Slayer's "Seasons In The Abyss", or maybe even Megadeth's "In My Darkest Hour", or perhaps Forbidden's "Chalice Of Blood".

Depends what kind of depressed I am. Can't go wrong with the one and only half decent U2 song.

No Doubt. You can't be sad listening to their upbeat stuff.

Anything that isn't hyperactively happy. It just doesn't work. Happy songs normally make me sadder. Oh, with the exception of "Don't Worry, Be Happy." I like that no matter what my mood is.

Wow, I'm not the only one who thinks Evanesence is great for when you are in a bad mood.

Other good ones are Goo Goo Dolls and Red Hot Chilli Peppors. (Specifically Otherside, great stuff that Otherside)

I usually listen to either of these two songs, they're my favourite. >_>

My Favourite Game - The Cardigans

    or

    Ironic - Alanis Morissette

Sometimes I listen to Jerry Cantrell, mostly his songs off his Degridation Trip album since it's the only one of his I own. Some of his songs are a blend of rock and blues.

Other times I listen to Godsmack just to beat the ever living crap outta the depressed mood.

I listen to an album: The Burning Halo by Draconian. If you're not depressed, it'll make you.

Build me up Buttercup by Foundations comes to mind. I have a whole playist with happy songs. My sad songs is "Dear Catherine" by Gabriel Yard, I love that piece it sounds so sad. "Dry Your Eyes Mate" by the Streets.

Oh, and Motion City Soundtrack makes me happy when I'm down. Ironic, but true.

Either broody evil castle-ish piano/organ music to fit the mood, or something really fast to lift me up

    Trip'grd with Hsu and Quin.

If it's over a boy, then Brand New usually. Or Bright Eyes. Brand New is more for angriness. ;p
