The Platinum Edition has some nice behind-the-scenes material although I wouldn't have minded seeing a bit more. The restoration of the film itself looks quite good too.

As for the film, it's quite alright. It has family dynamic which is rare in Disney films (because you don't often see both mother and father). The animation is quite relaxed and interesting as can be seen from the funky opening titles sequence. Cruella is animated well and practically steals every scene she's in and is one of Disney's most memorable villains. Music isn't bad either, and it supports the narrative quite well.

I probably wouldn't put 101 Dalmatians to my Top 10 Disney Classics list, but it's quite good nevertheless and worth watching.
