I would probably go play video games or have sex (the usual) - Nominus Experse
my mom would be like "ve? yo te dije, el internet no es bueno."
"seriously, my mom tells me "que tu hase en eso el dia entero?" and im like "mami yo toy hablando con people" xD. spanglish, ftw." ~ liz
That's the one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. The video seems to indicate she at least partially intended it as a joke though.
Placebo did something interesting with Running Up That Hill. I can't think of much else beyond that.
Before Morisette covered it, it was the worst substance ever excreted by the Black Eyed Peas. I'm pretty sure this cover isn't a serious work
I've heard of this version of the song before, but never actually heard it until now. I'm extremely amused - she's taken the most obnoxious, repugnant pop trash song of its year, and re-styled it as a beautiful ballad. While preserving the dumb-ass lyrics in all their retarded glory. It's fantastic.
I really like this song, the Black-eyed peas song anyway, it's CATCHY.
Yeah, it was a joke. A good one too imo.
I also agree that Placebo did a very good cover of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill". It's still not as good as the original, though.
Also, Jeff Buckley's version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" is quite possibly the best cover song EVAR!
Mine would probably be the Deftones cover of Simple Man.
Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
My constant answer to this question.
"Excuse me Miss, do you like pineapple?"
It really is.
I've always quite liked Soft Cell's cover of Tainted Love as well. Don't know why because they don't really do my kind of music. Also had a fantastic cover of The Scientist (Coldplay) by... Aimee Mann, I think it was. That was nice.
Not my words Carol, the words of Top Gear magazine.
Manic Street Preachers - Umbrella.
And the Arctic Monkeys version of Love Machine, just because they crack up halfway through at the lame-ass lyrics.
The cover that Ben Folds did of Bitches Ain't <img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /><img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /><img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /><img src="http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif" alt="skull" /> is amazing.
oh placebo is a cover? *got that song off itunes because the singer sounded like kishi xD*
I was proud of never having heard My Humps until I went to Planet Hollywood in London and BAM there it was. It doesnt bother me now though.
my favorite covers. . .
Love Song (Jack off Jill)
When I'm 64 (John Denver)
Jolene (Mindy Smith)
Fly Me to the Moon (whoever did this version labelled Macross)
Loony BoB's cover of Freaky With You. I can't believe I forgot that. Someone should totally find the link. xD
