My keys and cellphone are always attached to my belt by cords. Not only are they in my pockets, but if they fall out they'll just hang there.

Unless I lose my trousers entirely, my keys and phone are going nowhere. And should the situation ever arise where I've misplaced my pants and have no idea where to find them, it'll probably mean I have bigger problems than lost keys.
