Don't worry, the only reason I even know my blood type was because blood work and pregnancy go hand in hand, and I got bored one day and started to read my medical records from my baby doctor up in Wisconsin.

I hate all needles but tattoo needles.
I'm already trying to mentally prepare myself for what an IV is like. ;;

I dunno! we did a test in 8th grade science but everyone in the class came out with O+ and that just can't be right!

To find out, you either have to PAY for a test to be done (out of the question), give blood (which I'm not sure I can do if I'm on the contraceptive Pill), receive blood (God forbid!) or be pregnant (see point 1).

So the only way to know my bloodtype is for me to have a life-threatening accident that requires blood tranfusion... Great...

I have no idea what my blood type is nor do I know the difference between being + or -. I am guessing I'm either O or B since my dad is O and I think my mom is B.

Well they stick it more near the middle arm area near the elbow. It has to puncture a certain vein in the arm so it can absorb blood from there if I remember correctly. They don't stick it at a right angle at you skin though. It's more of an angle that's practically parallel to your skin. It's kind of a hard thing to do seeing how the needle is quite huge (being practically 2/3 the diameter of a pencil). It kind of has to be that big since it needs to be hollow so it can take in the blood.
