I think, rather than Mulley randomly selecting one himself (he may become accidentally biased, y'never know), he should just phone up someone who hasn't the foggiest about this game, not explain anything and just get them to pick one of the three.

Also, random number generators aren't random. They work by pre-determined algoritmes, and free ones aren't very good ones.
