Thread: Unintended Hilarity

  1. #1

    Default Unintended Hilarity

I'm sure you're all aware of the crazy 'DnD will earn you a ticket to hell' Christians out there, right? Well, bored, I read one of the articles on that I found.

Straight Talk on Dungeons and Dragons

Now, not only is that article itself funny to read, but this quote stood out as very hilarious.

No Christian or sane, decent individual of whatever faith really should have anything to do with them.
I love how Christian and sane, decent idividual of whatever faith aren't included in the same group of people. XD (Its under the Conclusions section, by the way.)

So, what unintentional hilarity have you come across lately?

My favorite quote from the article is this:
Like the people who think they can play around with crack or pre-marital sex and not get burned by death, AIDS or pregnancy, the person who thinks they can mess with D&D without getting burnt is whistling in the dark. The evidence is definitely stacked against them! The game is too carefully crafted a trap for many people to elude.

That's because that article was written almost 20 years ago.

    There's a follow-up article 12 years after the first in 2001, too.

For as obsessed with D&D as this guy is, you know there would have to be at least SOME hidden fascination in it. I bet this whole thing is just his excuse for dabbling in such evil, dark arts.

Also, I find it hilarious when conservatives mention 'straight talk'. I usually see that and instantly translate it to 'Watch me bash the hell out of these immoral terr'ists!'

Why are you guys reading the boring articles on Chick's site when you could read the Chick tract on D&D? Chick tracts are the height of unintentional fundy hilarity.

I was just about to say the same thing.

I've seen those little comics at grocery stores before. They're good for a laugh, then I throw them aside for some other person to get a laugh out of it.

    Failblog.org

Although some of the stuff on the site are probably fake or were intended, most of them are fairly hilarious.

I see nothing wrong with this. It is a store that sells ancient things.
