Meanwhile, any news on his Eidolon? Lightning has Odin (which is weird, since I'd expect a thunder-based one for her), Snow has Shiva, Vanille (supposedly) has Carbuncle, Sazh has Brynhildr, and Fang has Bahamut. What's Hope's gonna be, I wonder?
I bet his Eidonlon is Pegasusmon, Flying hope!

I think the pairing fits. His name can be associated with holiness, and Alexander is of the holy element.
Hope = Holy? Maybe very loosely in English because they both start with "H" and have four letters.
And I think part of the shame is that FF main characters have in many of the last half of the FF saga been either annoying (Squall, Tidus) or afterthoughts (Vaan). Though who knows how this hero will turn out.
I'd love it if this guy turned out to be the most loved character in the history of FF now.

No, because holy = light, and having hope in dark times can provide a bright spot during those dark times. Also, if holy refers to religion, then one has hope in one's requisite deity (depending on religion). Should've been clear with that, but the hour was fairly late.
