Three major ones over here, in order of irresistibility:

1. Lakefront, after a heavy rain. There is really nothing better. I dislike looking back upon my childhood, but this scent is a pleasant, instantaneous rush back to the earliest of my memories, drawing an unbroken line to my present state of mind. I tend to regard the lake less as a nonliving body of water than a constant presence, and in an abstract sense, a third parent, but that is a rant all its own.

2. Books in various states of mustiness.

3. Artificial vanilla extract. ^_^
