This really annoys me because why would you end a statement with a question mark.
Ambiguity?
Certain statements require it depending on the tone you're trying to present. Mostly when you end it with a question mark, though its not a statement anymore, but a question.
"You like cheese." - This person is saying you like cheese.
"You like cheese?" - This person is expressing disbelief that you like cheese. Probably following after "I like cheese".
