I think this looks like Tarantino's best thing yet. Brad Pitt shows he can play some variety roles and what equals more win than an action-comedy about killing Nazi's!

Just saw this. Played like a REALLY violent version of classic Brit sit com 'Allo 'Allo. Thoroughly enjoyable 7/10.
I will never be a memory.

I enjoy Tarantino's stuff, so I'll definitely be giving this a watch when it comes out. Dunno when it's out in the UK though. Soon, I think.

I saw this last week in a preview and, surprisingly, really enjoyed it. After watching Kill Bill and Death Proof, I thought Tarantino had lost it completely. But Basterds was good. The first scene (all 20 minutes of it!) is kind of spellbinding - I was thoroughly absorbed. Partly this was down to Tarantino's direction and dialogue, but Christopher Waltz was a big part of it.

It's also pretty funny - I think one of my favourite moments was when Pitt's Basterds were trying to pull off (incredibly bad) Italian accents. It's definitely played for laughs at some points, and it works.
