What are your thoughts on misleading titles?
Should they be changed to suite the actual topic of the thread, or does changing them ruin the flavor they may have had?

I don't see the point in changing them, to be honest. If you click it ans it's not what you expected, click away.

It's like a hook in a newspaper! It's vaguely what the topic is but it hooks you in so you can't leave a boring article/thread.
"OHHH you're already interested, read the rest of the thread!"

Bonus points if your title tricks someone into posting off-topic.
I used to make thread topics that had nothing to do with anything.
Eventually the mods started changing my thread topics for me, and I think I got an un-official warning.
So...
I don't mind. It only bothers me on Myspace when someone titles a bulletin like "I'm engaged :</>D!" and it turns out to be a chain bulletin. However that can be fixed by getting better friends.
