If you take a look at the number of votes, all it is is that about 2/3 people have given votes across the board and the rest are just the party members voting for all of their party. So it's a smurfing joke anyway
The elections are all about getting as many people to vote for your party as possible. If a person v. person matchup looks odd to you, keep that in mind it's all about the success of the party.

I don't actually care about the elections as a whole. I just think credit where credit's due: Jiro deserved a win.
